As you all are aware, I am a Ferrari fan. Even I think the penalty was soft.
The excuse is that although it was dangerous, no advantage was gained? I however do not believe that is the point of the rules. Surely the safety of competitors and/or pit-lane officials is of paramount importance?
It would have lost them nothing to just wait the additional 1/2 second before letting him go.
Having said that, I dont believe he should have lost the race due to this.
A 10 place grid drop at the next race would have been the most appropriate penalty IMHO

I wasnt surprised by the decision, but I was massively dissapointed. This confirms once and for all that the FIA's hatred of Mclaren is equalled only by their love of Ferarri. We all know that the story would have been different if it was a mclaren pulling out on Sutil.
The thing that really annoyed me was Massa's attitude in the post race interview where he was saying that it was a stupid move on Sutil's part - WHAT!!!
Stupid formula one, if we cant enjoy a race where the same rules apply to everyone, why bother watching.
Incidentally I didn't really enjoy the grand prix this weekend, it was a bit boring and far too random track conditions.
I wasn't at all surprised to see that Ferrari weren't being penalised during the race. I could almost hear them bashing the stewards' ears about how unfair it would be from my sofa.
I do feel that Massa himself shouldn't have borne the blame though. I reckon the fair thing to do would have been to dock the TEAM their points from the race.
Like that was ever going to happen though.
I recorded the race and have deleted it now so I can't check, but didnt Massa leave his pit before he was given the green light? If that is the case he should have been given a big penelty.
I'd like to see the top teams given a weight handycap to create more of a 'motor race' and not just a two team exhibition.
I think Massa was given the green light by the automatic pit board system, the problem is that the ferrari head mechanic didnt override the system to allow sutil to pass before letting massa out safely. Raikonnen left when his light was still orange and consequently knocked over the fuel guy.
All in all it was a very boring race, with James Allen droning on with his usual total inaccurate commentary. Where were all these safety car antics? He predicted. I can’t wait for the BBC to take over next year get rid of the adverts and let’s hope they don’t employ the present lot. My son went to the race with friends, his observation from where he was sitting, was how partisan the Spaniards are, as soon as Alonso was out over 2/3’s up sticks and left. They had absolutely no interest in the race. I wonder if that would happen if Hamilton did the same at British GP? He did say that the GP2 was far more entertaining.

We get our race coverage "via" ITV - IE, we get the commentary but not the adverts
I bet it must be frustrating? Every 45 secs (feels like) we "hear" the silence and then hear the tune when they come back on air. We dont lose the visuals though
We also get coverage of all the warm-ups, practice sessions and the GP2 races...

The decision to penalise Hamilton sums up why F1 is so c*** at the moment.
Once again the FIA have shown their true colours, that colour being most definately red.
I will not bother to watch F1 again until something is done to stop this bias.
If I was Ron Dennis I would seriously be looking to other teams to try and support a breakaway rival to the farce that F1 has become
If you needed any proof that the whole FIA, Ferrari and Ecclestone trio were corrupt.. it's there on a plate..
So.. what looked like Raikonnen forcing Hamilton off the track, and then a few seconds of Hamilton allowing Raikonnen back in front.. gets him a 25 second penalty.. something that "should" have happened to Massa in the last race..
As Chris says, the FIA will do anything they can to get Ferrari to the top.... whether it breaks the rules or not..
I am disgusted.
Even my Daughter agrees, and she hates Hamilton with a passion..

I am absolutely livid. I was hoping that after Schumacher retired we were going to see some closer matched, fairer racing but it is evident now more than ever that the FIA just dont want the years of ferrari domination to end.
All anybody wants to see is a fair race, is that too much to ask?
I simply don't understand how hamilton could have possibly gained an advantage when he deliberately lifted off to let raikonnen regain his place.
