Cant argue with you guys. This from No1 Ferrari supporter. FIA have made their names cock again with this one.
Having said that, he did gain advantage but not enough IMHO to warrant a penalty. I thought Hamilton played the rules to his advantage as to HOW he let Kimi pass him etc.
Point I am making is that he used to rules to his advantage.
Back to the race, Kimi lost it rather than Hamilton won it. (He will remain race winner in my book)
Karma will ensure Hamilton wins the world champs so dont worry chaps... even though this will cause the lad to have custom made helmets for the HUGE head he will gain...

Ron Dennis knew the FIA were after him as soon as the enquiry was announced.
Why else would he feel the need to be quite so aggressively defensive in his interview with ITV?
And why else would he brief Hamilton on the podium on what to say in the post race interviews? (There's no way LH would have blamed KR like that normally.)
If the chicane move was 100% legit then Ron wouldn't have called up Charlie Whiting to ask if he thought it was OK.
Unfortunately, McLaren must be seen to be whiter than white after last year. And they would like nothing better than to see Ron Dennis throw in the towel.
Getting steamed up about it is all part of the 'sport' that F1 has become these days.
Bernie doesn't care if we don't like the decisions - all he cares about is that it brings in the viewers and sponsorship.
Deffinately a well deserved win by Vettel, it's a shame it didnt rain again towards the end, that really messed up Hamiltons otherwise brilliant strategy. Still I suspect that isn't the last we've seen of vettel, he's put in some awesome performances lately and really made the red bull team look like a bunch of clowns in comparison. It's also a shame that bourdais stalled on the grid, he really had a chance to prove himself today, looks like he blew that chance, although he did have an awesome pace despite being several laps down on everyone else.
Oh well, now lets wait for the FIA to screw up the results again with more unneccesary politics.
Mmmm... no comments about how KAK Hamilton drove? (Google the meaning of KAK - Afrikaans term)
Anyone want to say Hamilton, with the way he drove two drivers practically off the track in bad conditions, deserves a penalty?
I will... What's good for the goose....

Having said that, I echo the fact that Vettel fully deserved that win. Pole to Pole!!
Brilliant driving, cool as a cucumber and as another poster mentioned, great in the interviews. A fresh new star in F1.

What a fantastic win by the youngster.
It's not like he inherited it like some other outside chancers have in the past either. It was well deserved.

I wouldn't say it deserved a penalty, no. It was aggressive, but you'd be hard pushed to find where he broke any rules, (as would the stewards, otherwise they'd have nailed him for sure). Look again at what went on with Webber some time before the overtake - Webber was the aggressive one then. And Fissi's well known for being a hard nut to overtake.
I gather LH wasn't really in the mood for taking prisoners after some of the other driver comments recently.

It was hard cut-and-thrust stuff, I agree.
The main thing was that no-one got hurt. If they were driven off the track, a penalty would have been certain?? If they did not get out the way, Lewis would have caused an avoidable accident by colliding with them IMHO
Having said all that, what is different between that and the Massa pit-lane incident then? After all, no one got hurt... Both incidents dangerous but if no one yielded an accident would have been certain.
Another thing, when last have we heard Allen and Brundle commenting that Hamilton was a bit over the top (on those particular incidents)
Also - notice how all the drivers are suddenly over-cautious when cutting a chicane... Kimi cut the first one and decided to stay behind everyone for the rest of the race

I thought Hamilton was over the line a couple of times yesterday. You could make an argument for a penalty but I think that would have been harsh given that nobody crashed. We've seen a lot worse go unpunished, Coulthard has crashed into anything that moves this year.
I think Brundle got it spot on (as usual). I don't think Hamilton saw Glock or expected him to get such a good run on him. That didn't look deliberate to me. The Webber one was dangerous though. Hamilton must have seen him and he left him barely enough room. If Webber had gone over one of Hamilton's wheels it would have been very different.
I don't think Hamilton's moves were any worse than how raikkonen cut him up in spa on the last chicane.
There was a difference. Hamilton was trying to overtake him, not the other way round. Kimi stuck to the racing line which Hamilton never had in the first place. If they touched, it would have been Hamiltons fault.
In Hamiltons case, he "took" the racing line from Webber and co. when he should not have. Again, if they touched, it would have been his fault.
But then again, he is British and drives a McLaren so neither of the incidents could have been his fault

The difference is that what Massa did is actually mentioned as an infraction in the rules. "Dangerous pit release" I think.
