But then, all his fans were expecting that? FIA and all...
Cant wait for the night race. Especially if it rains heavily. Will be like Monaco a few years back where only 6 or so cars completed the race. I think that is the one where the Ligier won?

They said that the appeal was 'inadmissable' because you cannot appeal a drive through penalty according to the FIA's rules, this is despite the fact that he got a time penalty instead of a drive through. I'm not at all surprised, but I'm a little dissappointed. If Lewis wins the championship this year I'll be amazed.
Ahh... after this weekend, I feel like just sitting in the corner and shutting up.
Nice track though...
They also need to change the rules pertaining to pit lane penalties when there is a safety car. Surely the chief steward can get a sealed list of when teams plan to pit and IF there is a situation, the team can open it to proove they are not taking advantage of the SC?
I just feel it was grossly unfair to those who got the penalties.
Also - Ferrari have to can those [fizzle]ing light systems they use in the pits. It probably cost them the championship. I almost chucked a beermug at the TV when he trundled down the pits dragging a petrol hose...

I nearly spilt my beer I was laughing so much.
What goes around comes around - Lewis got his 6 points back after all.
^Like it was Massa's fault he lost them in the first place?
Remember last year... Let's see if Hamiltons BMT has grown this year... Hope for his sake it has 'cause if he does not win the title from here, he never will.
I personally hope he duffs it again - until he gets a better personality and/or a smaller head.

I think Ken has a point. Massa didn't deserve those points and now, through no fault of his own, he's lost them.
I'm not sure Hamilton is as much of a favorite as you're saying. Seven points is a good lead with three races to go but that Ferrari is looking awful fast at the moment. All Massa needs is for Raikkonen to get his act together and start taking points off Hamilton and seven points doesn't look so big. I can't really see Kovalainen doing the same job for McLaren. If Ferrari stop making mistakes then it's theirs... unless it rains.
It could all come down to one mistake though. Both Massa and Hamilton have been error prone this year. One DNF and it could be over.
Either way, i'm loving F1 this year, and last. The racing is still a bit dull at times but I love not knowing what's gonna happen. That and I had a tenner on Alonso at 25/1 last weekend. That cheered me right up.

In what way did he not deserve them? Hamilton was correctly penalised, as much as his fans deny this. It was his and his teams error to get an unfair advantage. All along, everyone said if he was a bit more patient, he would have passed Kimi anyway. Spilt milk...

How is it that the one time Fiarrari get a penalty it doesn't actually matter to them?
(Hint: Now they can say "See, we do penalise Ferrari too.")
And why did the stewards take so long debating whether they should or should not penalise Massa that they conveniently "forgot" to award the (automatic) stop'n'go penalties to the two other drivers until a half hour later?
(Hint: It allowed Nico to pull out a tremendous lead over the mobile chicane behind him.)
Damn F1 is all politics these days and unfortunately run by the Italians.
I love you "conspiracy theory" types. Nice comic relief from time to time...

Im not quite sure what bourdais was supposed to do to avoid getting that penalty?!?!?! He had the racing line and massa simply drove into him.
Also why to Hamilton get penalised for not allowing any track space for the ferraris? He didnt actively push the ferraris off track, it was certainly no worse than how raikkonnen forced hamilton off-track at spa. It isn't in any way fair that Hamilton recieved the same penalty that Massa did for cutting a corner so that he could deliberatly drive straight into the side of Hamilton.
Also why wasn't Massa penalised for dangerously undertaking weber in the pit lane exit for no good reason.
I also found it quite disturbing that Jean Todt was going to work for the FIA next year, talk about making a bad problem worse.
I've never been more convinced of a pro Ferrari, Ant-McLaren bias of the FIA.
As for the race, Alonso drove very well to win that, and how unlucky is Koveliennen for his engine to blow on one of the rare occasions when he might actually score points. Young Piquet did quite well for a change as well. There were a lot of rookie mistakes today from drivers that should have known better.

Issue 1 - The Torro Rosso vehicle would have received a blue flag once he exited from the pits. A driver comming down past the pits has right-of-way to a driver exiting the pits. That one is a no-brainer.
Issue 2 - You cannot even begin to compare Hamiltons idiocy to what Kimi did at Spa??? Kimi stayed on the track!
Hamilton went so hot into that corner (after LOSING the lead to Kimi and Heiki) that he flat-spotted his tyres to canvas!!! He touched Kimi according to reports. (so did Heiki, but as a result of Lewis also pushing him off)
Hamilton fully deserved that penalty. It was just lucky that there was not a huge accident as a result.
Issue 3 - Massa's overtaking of Webber was not a problem. He had plenty of space. Webber pushed him into pit lane exit. It is in any event not an offence to go into pit lane exit (the opposite is an offence) - in this regard, refer again to my point 1 - track drivers have right of way there...
Issue 4 - Agree - Todt should not be taking that post. They should rather give it to Michael Schumacher!!!!
Further - I agree that Alonso deserved the win - albeit he was lucky. He got the win due only to Lewis taking Kimi off at turn 1. His luck though
So, 6 points in it. I wonder what will cause Massa to win the title, FIA favoritism or Lewis imploding under pressure? again

And the bit where Massa cut the corner and rammed Hamilton off the track ???
Massa should have been disqualified.....
no... lets be fair on this.. that's not right...
Disqualify Massa and the whole Ferrari team for the next 30 or so races..
