Yeah, I know. Please note the small-print at the bottom of my message. Toyota would NEVER cheat like McLaren would...

Just a question to all LH fans...

IF he had to sign for Ferrari, would you still support him?
OR, if MS had to come out of retirement and drive for McLaren, would you support him?

Or, would you just quit F1?

I would, but only if Ferrari and the FIA played fair... which is unlikely to happen..

No
Yes
If the FIA don't get their act together that's a maybe anyway.

I'd only ever support Ferrari if they can prove over a period of time that they're capable of racing without calling 'Foul' whenever they feel like it and the FIA don't make decisions which favour them all the time.

I can see myself potentialy supporting Ferrari in the future, who knows? I find the current post Todt regime a lot easier to swallow but give it time it may grow to be every bit as bad. And, i've been hunting around for someone to support ever since Mika retired so who knows how desperate i'll get

I'd put good money on Hamilton joining Ferrari one day. He's huge, and Ferrari are huge. They'd all get some decent pocket money out of that move. I wouldn't decide to support them on the basis of that though.

I'd love to see Schuey back in F1. If he'd not retired I think we'd probably be talking about a 9 time WDC now. Almost certainly better this way though. He went out with an awesome last race and his records are just about within reach, which keeps it interesting. Still, his reputation would have been complete if he'd have faced up to Kimi and beaten another great driver in the same team. For whatever reason, that never happened.

I remember back in the 90s it was a case of when not if MS would go to McLaren what with the Mercedes link. Then Ferrari started winning everything in sight and it never quite happened. Shame really.

Honda F1 team up for grabs.

Shall we all club together and buy it .............

Is this the end of Jenson Button's career ?

Very sad indeed, just as Honda looked like they finally had a promising season ahead of them. What will happen to Rubens as well?

Sure but Nick Fry said that there are three very serious enquiries for the team.

Formula One actually needed a big manufacturer to pull out because the costs now are ridulous.

The best racing still is no slicks and wings Formula Ford where such stars as Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Jenson Button learnt their craft.

I am not suggesting that F1 cars should be totally like FF cars but the proposed changes mooted by the team is nowhere near enough.

As Mosley said today they are just tinkering around with the problem.

I would rather see paint dry than watch a F1 race these days.

I do see it on TV sometimes, as I sometimes have nothing else better to do.

I remember the good old days of F1 racing when Jimmy Clark was racing.

Now that WAS competitive and fun to watch.....

It will be nice to see all the costs scaled down and then F1 will indeed have a future.

Paula

Do you think that will happen though Paula?

I do feel sorry for Jenson although I think he made a bad decision to stay with Honda, unless there was no other drive for him.

I do wonder, in the current ecconomic climate, if any other teams will follow Honda. If they did it may just be the wake-up call F1 needs, as you say costs are now ridiculous.

Also Bernie needs to realise that money does not grow on trees, at the current rate F1 will take place outside Europe!

I do agree that F1 in the '60s & '70's was more entertaining; we need to get back to that but with current safety measures.

One thing I hope will come out of ITV losing F1, and that is coverage of BTCC and Rallying, far more entertaining motorsport than F1.

I was not aware it ever actually started

Without jokes though, he started with the same hype as LH but he simply did not have the talent to pull it through.

On other matters, the new measures announced on Friday appear to be much better than the proposed idiocy of having one engine manufacturer...

Discuss.

Hiya,

Jenson has never had the right car except for when he was at Williams.

And that wasn't brilliant either.

Sorry but Jenson is rated very highly amongst his peers and with the right car could easily win a World Championship.

He is as smooth as Alain Prost and looks after his engine and tyres too during a race. He is also an awesome wet track race driver due to his smooth driving style, just watch him in corners.

Unless you have the right car, you will NEVER win a F1 World Championship or indeed race.

Take care

Paula
