Had some good news today.

After 11 months on the scrapheap without a job I finally got myself back into the world of work today.

was nearly resigned to never working again especially in the current climate. Over 500 applications and 8 interviews later, I'm back. Will be working for the National Assembly for Wales doing desktop support. Nice and easy start back into IT.

Feel a purchase of a new 6 coming very soon.

My new laptop keyboard arrived today also wohoo. Y is now working.

Nice on mate. Public sector is one of the few places you've still got a decent chance of getting a job. NAfW can be a land of opportunity if you get your feet under the table.

I worked in Desktop Support for my local NHS Trust for over 5 years, unfortunately the prospects for promotion were non-existent for me, and the pay was very poor, but I still really enjoyed working there, everyone was really friendly and the benefits were pretty good. Try not to get caught up in any politics.

Lol working in the national assembly it will be a bit hard to avoid politics mate.
