random screen refreshing

this is doing my nut in a bit. Whenever i'm on the site, or its open on another tab while i'm on other sites, I get random screen refreshes for no reason.

I can be half way through posting a reply or topic then the screen hangs and refreshes and I lose everything.

Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? I'm using XP Home and Explorer.

I dont get all the ads on the site that people are talking about but I do get the green writing from time to time. Other than that everything is ok.

I've typed this twice already, going to press submit in a hurry!

That sounds a bit random, have you tried it in firefox? Does it do the same thing?

Also is it just whilst using IE that makes this happen?

YEAH IS IT THE COMPATABILITY MODE FOR IE8???

oops caps...... if it thinks there is problem displaying a webpage it refreshes it in compatibilty mode. and on some site it even means having to login again too.

there are settings for it.

Dont think you can turn off?? but you can add mx6.com in to compatibilty mode and it will always display in that mode and should solve the issue.

Tools on menu on the drop down list compatability view settings.

There must be a way of disabling it but might be a reg hack at this stage.

compatibility view is inherrant i think, you cant switch it off. It works reallly well now in the full ie8 release, i have gone from similar issue to non now.

the only operating system i have issues with like this is Windows 7, but then that is beta...
