Being the speed aware person that i am.
Could someone please explain why, when i go through a speed camera zone at the legal speed, other drivers go through much faster and don't get flashed. Yet on the one occasion i do go faster,45mph in a 30mph zone (a country lane with a new camera).I collect 3 points and a £60 fine.
bummer mate :-( I've heard rumours that newly installed cameras have there limits set very tight to ensnare(sorry I mean make aware) drivers of the new camera......
the fact this will give them maximum revenue very quickly before drivers become aware (program the sat nav) and thus start slowing down through that section of road is a myth
thats pretty rotten luck, I'm not a huge fan of speed cameras, I fully accept that I will get caught speeding at some point - as will we all I'd imagine.
I guess it's all down to luck as had been said, but does anyone know what speed they are usually set at i.e in a 30mph zone and a 40mph zone.
As i just had a car come passed me this morning on the way home from work,
who was going fairly fast,he didn't set off the camera on our side but he did set off the one on other side of the road which i thought was funny as hell.
Gets me when I drive spot on through an average speed check set and see some numpty shooting down the outside lane doing double the speed! I guess they could be in a stolen car or such but I've seen it too often for that really.
Also seen numpties screaming through them only to tail-gate at unfeasabll close distance at the final set.
I guess the new watch-both-ways (to catch bikers) average cams will cut that out mostly.
