well, after my visit to Winy yesterday, I returned hoem with a nice "new" boot, spoiler and struts. He also gave me soem new clips and a pocket to replace the clock-cheers for that mate.
anyhoo, did the boot lid just earlier today-gorgeous weather i am a happy bunny. Boot went on fine, had to adjust it after first fitting due to it being a bit skew, now perfect.
After advice from Paul and his cronie (sorry, didnt get his name!!) I sealed over the gap between my rear lights and the bodywrk to stop water collecting inside the boot, so looking forward to seeing if that helps (well, smelling!!)
I fitted the new pocket instead of the clock-i will miss the clock, but any gain in storage space in our cars is a bonus, so happy with that!
I THEN fitted the new clips he gave me to the driver door card-BING, its like new now! makes a totally different sound when closing, no rattling, just a good solid clunk! so well chuffed here.
I THEN took the passenger door card of to check a weird issue with the speaker-noticed yesterday the speaker switching on and off. Well, all was ok untill i pushed the cone in, then no sound, release, all ok, odd. anyway, peiced it all back together and it seems ok-kinda tempted to them Bose speakers of Pauls, but i bet hes sold em now lol!! So mucked about with my stereo and everything sounds good now (apart from needing new speakers its much better)
Tightened up my battery negative cable (popped off yesterday in Doncaster train station-alarms going off and everything!!)
So dead chuffed with my mornings work, and big thanks again to Paul and sidekick for thier hard work in getting these bits together for us!
as it happens, i remebered something i did need Paul (if your reading this) I needed the boot liner fabric, you know the whole lot that goes from back seat to cover the boot interior-mine has a mark from something and would have been nice to replace it, you got anything like that??
***nearly forgot. I am now left with a boot lid, spoiler and struts (struts work, but arnt like new) an dI need rid. NO way am I going to throw it just cos of a few scratches, there must be soemone who can make use of it? please let me know if you want it so I can get you some pics uploaded.

Reason: boot lid spare.
Hi Clive, good work there fella, glad you managed to get a few niggles sorted and the trip down was worth it.
I have 2 pairs of the BOSE front speakers so you are welcome if you want a pair. Bootliner on the breaker car is shot coz we filled the boot with scrap stuff yesterday when removing the engine. If you'd said yesterday it would have been mint. Will keep you in mind if I get another tho mate.
Need to do my door clips so ta for the reminder. If you need owt else just shout.
BTW, who's this Winy fella you mention?? lol

Most common problem is the bottom edge on both sides, drivers side being the worst.
You have 4 fixings on the drivers side door card. 1 in the handle pocket slot which is a pain when the plastic breaks, 1 screw top left of the card under the mirror, 1 on the handle and 1 plastic push in clip near the door latch. These all keep the top of the card secure ok but its the bottom of the card near the speaker that is usually the problem. If the clips are knackered along the bottom it just comes loose as soon as you shut the door.
I nicked a load of clips off the door cards I have so I could do mine and I have 2 interiors so I have plenty if you need them.

when i was scratching my head when i was there, thats what i WAS TRYING TO THINK OF! oh well, when you get a new one, give me a shout!
Let me get to pay day, then I think i might have them Boses off you, can you tell me what wattage they are? daft quesiton, but are they good, as in better than the standard speakers in ESpec cars?
spoke too soon about the door cards also, popped back out again later that afternoon! I am going to totally rmove the card tomorrow, and re fit properly, i must be missing something.
