Mystery partially solved (FAO noonespecial)

Tim, does this kit look familiar?

Was chatting over in the US side and some one was asking about yours. I said we didn't know what kit it was and this pic was posted.

According to them, it was some kind of dealer option. It's not a mazdaspeed kit and it might have been a europe thing rather than a UK thing. You can see it still has a stock rear bumper though, which does explain the modification to yours.

Still no name for the kit as yet though.

Are you sure it's the keyboard and not the drugs and beer.

Saw another pic of the rear bumper... and it is the same as yours... So I reckon it's a dealer option and the kits are modified stock parts.

Here's the pic of the back

Also put a call out to the Euro guys to see if we can put a name to the kit or anything... or even source replacements... like a rear bumper.

UPDATED

OK, this seems to be a kit made by TWR (Possibly out of business now) for Mazda. Check out this thread http://70.85.90.149/forums/showthread.php?t=120218 I'm still leaning towards a non standard Mazda part as it seems to have been available through some dealers in Europe, one guy bought his from a dealer in Switzerland. Unable to find anything about a company called TWR who are supposed to have made them. The some one mentions that it's a Mazdaspeed accessories kit? HUH? So I've asked if they have a catalogue or brochure of it.

TWR was a company in the UK.... (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) but they went bust in Feb 2003.. linked with the Arrows Racing team...
They also did work with Jaguar, Nissan, Volvo and others.. mainly Jags though..

there was a TWR 626 Coupe (88-92)

found this thread too...

I waas looking around the other day and found some pics of a Ford Probe, that had MX6 bonnet, wings/lights/bumper... Basically the entire front end.

It was a little odd to look at, but after a while I kinda grew on me... It's basically the same car anyway.

But this has got me wondering about other body panels... The rear bumper looks roughly the same shape, if they can be swapped over then it opens up another avenue for body kits.
