65mm throttle body swap
Well, no dramas or pics of Trevor McDonald in a dress and heels, but here's my photo-commentary, for what it's worth.
Got the spare TB, bored it and blasted it locally, then sent it to Mong for the innards. Sorry, the photos' order is all over the place. No idea why... ![]() New TB in-situ ![]() Cleaned-up main cold-air intake ![]() This shows main and secondary cold-air intake. Main is from front of car, easily visible in my other pics. Secondary comes from just in front of nearside front wheel. ![]() Bay with new TB in place ![]() ![]() Before the strut brace went back on... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() New TB on, before putting air intake elbow back on. ![]() New & old, side by side for the one & only time... ![]() ![]() Original TB in situ, before removal. ![]() "remember to plug that back in!" ![]() ![]() Gasket? What gasket??? ![]() ![]() As was, prior to starting work. Note how much more sunlight there was before I started! It took between 1-2 hours. ![]() More pre-work plumbing shots to aid my memory ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Worth paying out for the sand blasting, I'd propose... ![]() ![]() ...that's all folks!
