Hi, well I have had it for 3 weeks now and given it a polish and put my 17 inch OZ Titans on it and also done a few minor repair ......new drive belt tensioner pulley ( thanks MX6 addict ), had a 7 inch dent pulled out of the driver rear quarter panel which has left no trace (amazing paint less dent removal ), still have quite a few little dent in the drivers door so am looking to replace it for another silver one if anyone has one let me know, I am still in shock over the condition of the leather as it looks almost new and has no wear to the drivers bolster, what do you think?
Very nice mate! Whereabouts in Cambridge are you? I work in Huntingdon - so if you ever need any help / advice etc, get over to Spittles and say hello!
Hi Ben, I may take you up on that as my heater only blows on number 4, the blower seems OK and the heater control is also OK so after reading some old posts I have determined (big word for me) that it must be the resistor, I had a look under the glove box and removed the panel but don't really know what to look for, I have a full set of Ford Probe 1997 work shop manuals as well but cannot for the life of me find the info I need, any advise fellow sixers??????
Hi again, forgot to mention that it still has the full working genuine clarion stereo with 6 disc changer, full service history with two cam belt changes, one at 54,000 and one at 120,000, all work and servicing was done at a Mazda garage with all yearly receipts most of which were over 700 quid a time, car now has 127,000 miles, one lady owner until 120,000 and then for the last 7000 mile was owned by a bloke who has neglected it a bit but will be perfect after a bit of tlc, sorry to bore you but I am a bit happy to have found a 6 with this much history and all for 750 quid,
This is one of many pages refering to the heater. If it makes sense I can copy the wiring diagrams as well but I thought I would find out if you could follow it first.
It all seems to refer to voltage checking at certain points. In the index this page is refered to as a failure on a certain power setting and all point to this page.
Hope it's some help.
Hi Mark, yep the diagram drawings of the resistor have helped in that I have now identified it under the glove box, as for the wiring I almost get it?????, am going to remove the resistor and see if there are any dry connections first, will let you know, Cheers Mark,
It's amazing how many 6's there seems to be in cambridgeshire. Wish my drivers seat was in that good a condition. Got a massive tear on the side now and no idea what to do with it
Bazza - Who the hell are you? I can't remember the last time I saw you on here! I worked in St Ives for ages and never saw another six about. If you and Freakin' fancy a get together sometime, let me know!
Looking very nice there mate. Glad you found what you were looking for eventually. A nice set of clear side repeaters would suit that a treat mew thinks.
