something "similar" to the red one in the background will do then ? funny how a lot of cars look like a 626

Seats fold down giving plenty of room.. and do get the V6

The V6 is the prob tho John, I am a mobile engineer, working for myself at the mo and £250+ /month on fuel alone is too much, besides I dont want to pile the miles on her, she needs someone who wants to just look after her and have fun, shes not a workhorse, she a pedigree coupe. I know the fuel economy is pretty good on these but I do too many work miles for it to be economical.

A diesel turbo estate is what i want.

I think NOT, .....Yes I do understand your prob Marty, but as Mike says a cheap van is the way to go..alright more road tax ect but you would still have the Fun from the mx..... high days holidays ect , run a citron beligo all day here 50 ish mpg and no go but really cheap to run an option to consider maybe ...do not mix business and PLEASURE imho

Life will end, as you know it in a diesel turbo estate, still I Appreciate you have the family to consider.... so good luck all the same and do still pop in to see us

Bloody hell, what can I say Marty? You seemed so keen to keep her.

As Mike and Roland say, why not go the van-for-work route? How about leasing one? Cheaper than buying, no service bills or car tax.......

here u go marty, just the job. i bought an ole escort diesel van for 350quids a while ago for a job, did london to mansfield 6 times without a prob. not even used any oil. i sold it on when the job was done, and the current user is still driving it. these old diesels just keep on going.
