that sounds like a good deal. where exactly did you get it from? they have a web site? using a de cat obviously means the car will fail an mot, think there was a way round this though?
2 ways, refit the cat when going for an MOT or produce a reciept for an engine for 91.
However, I spoke to an MOT tester yesterday when booking my car in, and it depends on the tester... Some will just accept it, some might check... If they check I'm not sure on the legality of trying to obtain an MOT certificate fraudulantly. Car will most certainly fail, inurance could be voided and the police could be involved.
It would pay to be prepared for any questions a tester might throw at you. For example, if they know the MX6 was a 92-97 car over here, and it's not an import... what car did the engine come from?

When I took mine for its MOT, I went on a Saturday afternoon 1 hour before closing with 2 more cars sitting behind waiting for there's. They failed it on emissions, but before they could get it off the ramps, I whipped open the boot and tossed the bloke the CAT saying - "Oh yeah forgot about the CAT, fit this for me and try it again"
One look at his watch and I was out the garage with a new slip
This just goes to prove you can teach chimps to use computers. :flipa:
