The headlamps look UK and it doesnt mention the 4ws/climate etc. Strange about the dates tho, first reg 1993 but on a 1996 p reg.

Need more pics to be sure. Nice mods tho, wonder what he wants for it?

Not convinced it's a J-spec asit's extremely rare to find one with leather and a sunroof. They come with digital climate control.

I've asked the seller to post more pics of the exteriro, interior and engine

Its not J-spec, its only running that power cos he has done all that work to the engine

Matt

Quietly modding!

What's that coming over the hill? Is it a Mazda? Is it a Mazda

Nah, it's UK spec. He's just quoting the wrong bhp figure.

with an MOT til July it could need all sorts doing to it. Mods or not, I reckon £1500-2000 depending on wether it'll get through an MOT. 120k on the clock with 12 months MOT, £2500 tops

Hi TonyC,
I take it you're either the seller or a prospective buyer then?

Yep, £2500 tops I reckon.
Unfortunately our cars are dropping in price these days and not fetching as much as a couple of years ago.
It's also a fact of life that you'll never get back what you put into a car, no matter how much you mod it. Just got to accept the hit and start all over again.

That depends if it's a 93 or 96 as the ad is somewhat confusing... Mods don't really count for that much when selling a car, usually better to remove them and sell seperately. Anywhere between £1200-2300 depending on the year.

www.parkers.co.uk is a good place to start.

Hi Guys,

I did a bit of a swop deal with someone and picked up a 97 P - hence the question. I've always liked the MX6 so took the opportunity/risk.

I will keep it for a couple of months as I have a list of 90's cars to get thru (having had a company car for 16 years).

Anyway this is what I have;

1997 P GT Auto
2 Previous owners (1st had it to 88k)
99k miles with fsh (mostly Mazda)
Aircon AND Elec Sunroof
Silver with Grey Leather
HPi clear

It's had the offside wing/headlight replaced but it looks a professional job.

It needs an MOT next month so I have it booked in next week and could do with new tyres (I provionally have some nearly new P6000 for £140) but they are legal for the time being.

Let you know how I get on with the MOT.

In the meantime if anyone is interested in doing a deal mail me as I've just taken some pix.
