Possible J-Spec Parts

Hi all,
Long time no post.
I havent been able to get on-line properly for a long time due to moving, and it saddens me that my first post will be this one.

2 weeks ago I was hit by a 'mature' driver that didn't see me.

I did my best to avoid him but he struck my drivers door and continued onto the rear quarter (pics will follow)

I'm still waiting for confirmation, but because of the low value these cars are reaching these days, I fear it may be written off.

So I wanted to get some feedback on whether or not it would be worth buying back and breaking.

It has 70,000 genuines miles with cambelt change at 62k black leather interior imaaculate apart from the usual bolster wear. De-locked rear boot, 17ins alloys with some kerbing and a ridiculous custom exhaust that I paid £500 for.

Oh and its Silver

(check pics in members cars)

If anyone would be interested or has some suggestions, I'll be back on-line Monday

Neil

Sorry to hear that...
The door may not be a problem, but of damage to the rear qtr is bad then you could be in for a fight.
I hope things work out... you get the car fixed and keep driving it

I suppose this all depends on how much....

how much they assess the damage at.
how much they pay you,
how much they want for it, presuming they will sell it back.

The more they pay you, the more they are likely to want back for her..

Thanks all, It's been a very depressing 2 weeks coming home everyday and seeing it parked on my drive in such a sorry state.

As soon as the quotes come through I'll let you all know.

Dinner time for the vultures !!

Just been told to scrap the car myself, so basically everything can go.

Just waiting for a letter to confirm that the car can be crushed so this is a heads-up for anyone that needs some parts.

Obviously due to current market value of the MX6, I'm looking to get fair prices on all parts to fund my next car.

So, quick spec off the top of my head.

It's a silver J-Spec with :-
KLZE engine (genuine 70k on clock with MOT's to prove oil changed every 3-4k) £125 ono
4WS
Folding mirrors £40 ono
Kick plates £20 ono - SOLD
Black leather (seats are immaculate for age, drivers has the usual wear but polishes out,one door card needs looking at) £150ono
Induction kit £15 ono
45mm TB (never fitted) £40 ono
Custom built full stainless with de-cat pipe from Hayward & Scott cost £500 (been told it sounds like a Ducatti at high revs so not for the faint hearted) £170 ono - SOLD
17inch multispoke alloys with minor kerbing and 2 good tyres. (need to p/x these so I can still move the car) £150 ono - SOLD
De-locked boot £50 ono
Laguna front lip spoiler £15 ono - SOLD
Digital climate control
Chrome boot struts (never fitted) £20 ono - SOLD
2 sets of white dials (one never fitted) £12 ono ONE SOLD ONE AVAILABLE WITH CLOCKS
Full set of original mats £25 ono
Pacesetter Headers (never fitted) £100 ono - SOLD
and probably much more.

Any other JSPEC bits that are wanted let me know and give me your best price.

All prices are open for negotiation as I havent got a clue what their worth !!

I'd of loved to sell the car complete as it was still driving like brand new at time of accident, but insurance company says it has to go.

I'm not the most mechanically minded so ideally the parts need to be removed (bare this in mind when making offers)

I'm happy to help anyone that turns up - car will be situated in Rayleigh Essex.

MX6TT - I suggest you get some prices up on here, I think the for sale rules mean that you have to put at least guide prices on here to stop bidding wars.

Also get some pics up if you can of all the parts.

How much for the leather interior, and the kick plates, and the pacesetters?

Ben.

Just out of interest, how much did you want for the chrome boot struts? - I've nearly been beheaded a couple of times now!
