Selling my Silver MX6 2.5 Manual
Dear All,
I am considering selling my 1995 MX6 project as I will be moving in July and I don't think I am going to get it finished in time. That is why I am putting it on here because I know one of you would have it together in no time.
The history of the car is this. I bought it off an old guy a couple of months ago. It had been sitting on his drive since November last year, he bought a new car, because of very, very light front damage due to him starting it in gear and bumping a tree. Unfortunately there was no history with the car as he had it serviced at home by a Mazda mechanic and for some reason didn't keep any reciepts. I have all the original keys and little metal key code plus the owners book and V5 in my name.
I got it back home and removed the bumper and bonnet which was all that was damaged. I had a guy drop a boonet down to me which is straighter than mine but realistically it needs another one. All the lights have been removed ready to fit the new bumper. I have a bumper in ok condition but I can't get it to fit, see post in the general question area.
I am going to fit new front tyres, new rear pads and almost new rear discs. I have already fitted new wipers, Bosch Super Plus spark plugs and air filter. The engine has only done 65,000 miles and looks very tidy. It starts first time and ticks over beautifully. The gear box is quiet and it selects gear perfectly.
The passenger door looks like it has a dent removed, the drivers door has some paint chips. The rest of the car is very good. The interior has no rips and hardly any wear. No AC, CD player, or leather. All electrics work including sunroof and arial.
The alloys are original Mazda and have are in uncurbed condition but could do from a good clean because of standing.
I have no doubt this would fly through an MOT. All the new owner needs to do is fit a bumper and bonnet and an oil change and maybe belts.
To be honest with any prospective buyers, I am not selling this car for peanuts as I am still prepared to source a bonnet and bumper. It is just the fact that someone with better contacts than me could do it cheaper and quicker.
I would like £700 ono to help pay back some of the money I have already spent. This car is not your normal high mileage wreck. I know this car will end up being a very sound car for under a grand. If nobody is interested in it at that price then I will still try and source the parts (any leads or if you have the parts would be appreciated) and put it through an MOT.
If you have any questions, then please call me on 07851603124. I can take pictures and send them via email. Thanks for looking, James.
