Question Project car anyone?

Hello,

Well the day of days has come, it's time for my MX-6 to go. It is a very sad day but I was expecting it. Basically MOT failed today and I'm not wanting to spend any more money on it as we're getting a new car. I thought I'd ask here first incase anyone wants a project car or would like it for spares/repairs but worst case it's going to get scrapped locally Collection only please and I wouldn't recommend driving it home

Here are the MOT details:
  • Nearside front CV joint gaiter split
  • Both front tyres below 1.6mm
  • Exhaust emissions Hydrocarbon Content (HC) after 2nd fast idle excessive - 2352ppm (should be less than or equal to 200ppm)
  • Exhaust emissions Lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits - 1.547 (should be 0.97-1.03)
Tyres & CV gaiter are an easy fix, and the MOT station say possibly a lambda sensor and/or a new CAT would fix the emissions.

Some general details:

Year: 1992 (K)
Transmission: Auto
Colour: Black
Mileage: 146,653
Alarm: Thatcham Cat 1 Cobra

A UK Spec 1992 (K reg) black 6, all the usuals central locking, electric windows, sunroof, power steering etc, cloth seats and no air con. Stalling a bit at the moment so might need some attention there and radiator is leaking. I have a new radiator from John (Einstein) which I bought for £25 so I will sell it at the same price. Then it just requires fitting. 3 out of the 4 calipers were replaced with brand new ones a while back, and I bought a distributor kit which included core and cap to replace the failing parts of the first distributor (a common problem on early models) which was done a couple of years ago. Cam belt and water pump were done roughly around 130k miles.

The odd shopping trolley ding on the body, slight crack and scratch on one corner of rear bumper. MOT station said bodywork was in good condition. Requires a good polish however Comes with twin pipe Scorpion exhaust (cat-back). Cold Air Induction (CAI) fitted at the moment, but I do have the old air box still which I can collect and pass on next time I visit Birmingham. Standard alloys, spare might need replacing as it's a bit rusty.

Still very clean and tidy inside. Driver side seat actually not too bad where it usually tears a bit. I've repaired a bit of it best I could. Apparently it has a Mazda Jap steering wheel as it's 3 spoke? NO stereo, BUT door and rear speakers are all Pioneer. Passenger side window goes down but not back up using the passenger side control. It can however be put back up using the driver side control. Blue neon footwells, they light up (not crazy bright) when a door is opened.

Offers please (if any) by PM.
