well, I decided today to start thinking about selling the 6. I feel it will probably take a while anyway, so better start now while there is plenty of MOT left. Right here is the good and bad bits:
I have had this car since 3/04/2006
MOT expires April 2nd 2009, tax till 1st august 2008. Passed previous MOT without advisories, and the one before that, but through last MOT I had the rear drop links done anyway, but apparently it would have failed on these, so good timing! I hardly drive the car, its sort of my weekend car, as I drive the fourtrak (before that I had a company car). Car drives superb, engine is smooth and punchy as it should be. I changed the HT leads this year, along with a part service which changed the oil and fuel filters and spark plugs. Always used MAgnatec 10w 40 in mine, been spot on. Its got a cone type air filter fitted. All electrics work, its got a decent alarm/immobiliser for it for which I have the certificate somewhere. its got:
leather seats (typical drivers bolster worn, a little on the passenger side one, other than that really nice)
AIr Con - needs regassing now, its not really cold.
electric windows and sunroof
17" OZ racing multi spoke alloys -not great condition-kerbed-were liek this when I bought them but hasnt presented a problem at all.
4 very good tyres, good sports ones on the front, good sports ones on the back, low profile, almost full tread.
Lowered, but no idea what sort of springs-car is very low, drives very nice though hard.
Vented grooved discs at the front, as far as I can tell good amount of brakes left as well. Its got a new ish mid pipe (fitted this year) and a new exhaust back box was fitted when I bought it, thats still in good condition. Front pipe and CAT look fine-mechanic happy with it.
Its got blue/white led side lights fitted, and decent white main beam lights, looks very nice and gives good clear vision at night.
I will include the Clarion stereo, its a decent one, was £350 new, worth I think £150 now in the shops. Its MP3 cd etc, with the multi colour changing display. Speakers are good, no idea if they are standard or not, I think not because the chap I bought it off had upgraded the whole stereo system, sounds good though.
Very dark tinted rear window and rear half, looks great on these cars, and it also has funny little front skirty things on the bumper, they really set it off I think (was on when I bought it, but I like)
I fitted a new radiator last year, as the old one ended up with a split in it, this was a pain to fit, but its in now and everything runs nice and cool, done loads of miles since this was fitted, so its running as it should be.
had a new drivers side shock fitted when I bought it too, forgot about that and the heating system didnt work, so its got a new controller unit too, works brill now!
Right, what else, known bad bits:
gonna be very honest here, and as in depth as I can be...
the main big deal for me on this car is the top alternator bolt, the one you can see just under the main water top hose. Basically when I bought it this bolt must have been loose. I didnt notice till after my warrenty ran out, then the bolt ended up loose, and has de threaded, so basically the bolt just rattles around and cant be removed unless you cut it off or have the cambelt done! So its been liek this ever since I have had the car, I have done a few thousand mile since with it liek this, and its been absolutley fine, all it does is rattles at low revs, such as starting off in second gear. The actualy bracket is solid, this is why I have just left it, cant afford the ridiulous quites to fix it, I figured I would just wait until I had the cambelt done, but since thats over 20k miles away, no point!
next one - slight water leak inside, back window in the usual places. Again, one of them things that doesnt bother me, it doesnt actaully leak and drip water much inside, just gets a bit damp so can get smelly. I think you have to remove the roof lining to get to the pipes, this is beyond me.
BRAKEs-they rattle at the back, I am certian of this because the rattle stops when you apply the breaks! I have no idea about the anti rattle clips, but I suspect it needs new ones, the brakes themselves are fine, car stops spot on and ABS kicks in as and when it should.
Steering - tracking is out. When I had the two tyres fitted at teh front this year, the tracking was out, so the guy re did, but he didnt do it right as the steering went from pointing left, to pointing right, I am lazy and never took it back (back street garage, took ages as it was).
Drivers door card loose at the bottom, if I think on I will fix this with a rawl plug or something.
Usual scuff marks on bumpers, and the odd very slight ding from other car doors on the drivers side, but nothing too serious, and generally the car is in good condition I think. the odd tiny imperfection here and there, nothing serious or major.
I intend to take the car into the garage in the next week or so to have the rattle sorted and steering sorted (i doubt I will sell this car within that time) and I intend to use it for my jols in July, this will add about 750 miles to the odometer, which is on about 98862 miles, so has done 830 odd miles since the last MOT.
I know the car probably isnt the finest example on the road, but it aint the worst. It has never let me down, and I have looked after it (I dont thrash it, I dont take it where it wont go etc). I dont expect a lot of money for it, and I will be losing a lot in terms of what I paid for it, but at the end of the day it drives, it works, its decent, and I dont think it hides any problems at all.

right, think thats it. why am I selling? well, I love my cars, and I like a change. Had this two years now, which is about my limit anyway. I fancy a MX3 or a ST24 (sorry, i know, its a mondeo, but I really like em!) so if anyone wants to offer some kind of swap, I am all ears. I am not picky about car condition too much or mileage, so if someones got a good st24 I will most certainly consider some sort of deal!

dang nearly forgot, liek i said, trying to be in depth an dhonest. i pulled the codes a while back, and I think it needs a new front o2 sensor. I have bought it, it just needs fitting, will need the connector fitting from the old one. I dont really see any bad fuel consumption, so not sure if the o2 sensor is that bad yet. look san deasy fix though if you have the correct tool.
