Car and good bits for sale

As mentioned in the main forum my old 6 has got to make way for the XJS.
Am looking for around £700 for the old girl. She's Pacific blue with cloth interior - usual wear to bolster. Cruise control and air con (air con not working?) Stainless cat back Powerflow exhaust with nice tail pipes giving a good roar!(not too loud!) Always garaged without many dings and only a few chips on the front. 143k miles with reasonable tread left on tyres and 12 month mot. Look for MX6 on Autotrader near postcode DT2 0DR @ £795 for photos.

Also for sale a pair of re-con Delphi rear calipers, never fitted, £90 ono the pair.

Second hand dizzy never fitted -should be ok £40

Full set of 5, 16" Speedline alloys - could do with re-furb, 3 tyres legal £125

Hope i can find a forum for the Jag that is as helpful as this one!!

Not had any interest in the bits and bobs, so I think Ebay beckons.

Have reduced car on Autotrader to £595 lets see if it gets more interest?
Its so sad to see her at that price - lot of car for no money!

we devalue our own cars.

but all it takes is interest. as soon as someone who has never heard of a mx6, or doesnt know much about them gets into one they love it. shame that in order to achieve this you have to advertise at a stupidly low price. what a shame.

thsi is why am keeping mine, I am not a rich man at all, but I currently now have three cars and I will run them till they die.

good luck with your sale, i really hoep you get more for it than £595, thats silly money.

The alloys are the Speedline one that you see on the last '96-'97 models.

I also have 3 cars laying about plus the wifes Rav-4. The XJS has to be garaged coz unlike the 6 it will rust in seconds in the wet!!

I would dearly love to keep the 6 but can't justify 2 'summer' cars...
£595 is a silly price as you say but I think its a buyers market at the mo.. Imust admit if I have no offers above £500 I will probably keep it or sadly break it!

Speedlines went for £100 - couple of Polish guys came down from Bristol. Only wanted them to put 2 on the front of their Vauxhall Omega to get it through the MOT, cheaper than buying 2 tyres!!

Both doors sold for £20 each and Dizzy for £20.

Garage looks a bit empty now - perhaps I can keep the 6 after all..

Only one tyre kicker so far test drove it to 90 said great he would take it the following night and never saw him again...
