Couple of months early for me, waiting for that car funding annual bonus at the end of March! But I would take it oh yes!

see now this is the thing. This car has sensible mods, lower miles but no mot/tax and a sensible asking price but no-one has said that he's under priced it compared to the other j-spec on here.

How come? We are all moaning about the lack of value the mx6 has but when a cheap car comes up everyone is saying we should jump at the chance.

Its kind of a contradiction IMO.

hi all

thanks for the comments. Im amazed at the difference between probe clubs and mx6 clubs. I have just been told by a probe owner that £500 is really expensive for a car with no tax or mot. Think they are judging it by probe standards where even an mot'd and taxed car with a full tank of petrol goes for less than £500. This is an absolute bargain, its in good nick, strong engine everything works and with a bit of time spent could be amazing

The fact is that this guy is willing to let it go for £500 - bargain. He hasn't asked for more and doesn't expect more. Therefore the issue is moot. If he had asked for £1,000 and we had said nooooo thats too expensive and not worth the money, then it would have been unfair to him. As to be honest, if he wasn't after a quick sale, he might have got that sort of money for it.

It's all about priorities and not torpedoing people.

Ben.

By saying the car is an absolute bargin, is in fact stating its cheap .. with a tax an mot that car would be advertised at twice the price easy.

So yes we are telling the seller the price is too low.

Unfortunately, the probe has always got bad press in the UK, and its showing now in the prices they sell for.

Gone...

I feel sorry for probe owners who have spent a lot of money on their car - the equity on them is even worse than ours! It's a shame. At least I've made a commitment to mine so I'm not going to sell it - no equity issues for me

I drove the Probe when they were new and in fact it's a very nice car especially in V6 form.

The UK Motoring Press has always su*k*d to a greater or lesser degree.

Like Ben, I have no intention of selling BaBaKa and to buy a comparable car would cost over £20K new.

Hang on there are no comparable cars as the MX 6 is irreplaceable.
