Wanted Ecu's

ok
have quite a prob in my 3 at the moment
apparntly its managed to spike both the original 1.8v6 ecu and the 2.5 on i have in my car due to a wiring fault
the wiring is so messed up in the bay due to extensive stripping and numerous engine changes
anyone any idea if or how i can trace the fault through the ecu maybe
and if anyone has some spare reaonably cheap
cheers
chris

I wouldn't touch that with ANY ecu until you have found out what's shorting the system. Give it to an autoelectrician with a couple of ECU's and let them do it right.

Ben.

Ive heard of this sort of thing happening on engine swaps where theres an auto/manual confliction or the wrong year ecu is used.

Other than that, get a sparky in like Ben says or it will cost you a bomb in Ecu's
