Black Leather Interior

Hi all

I have a full black leather interior for sale in pretty good condition. I can meet the buyer at JapFest or on the way down on Friday 15 May.

Looks a bit like a tiger claw has swiped the left drivers bolster see photo. There's minor damage to the right drivers bolster and the passengers left bolster. All panels are sound and clean. Drivers seat has a connection for the seat belt warning light (something I don't have on the dash - puzzled me a bit when i saw that there).

£75 ono

Others:
Front wings. Black good condition. £20 each
Dashboard £5. Dashboard switches £2 each, Dashboard gauges cluster x2 £15 each
Rear light clusters. Good condition. £10 each
Rear bumper, Black, Needs repair work to bracket on driver's side £10. Rear spoiler, Black with spoiler light blanking plate, Good condition, £20
Centre console, Good condition £5. Steering cowel, Good condition £2. Glove box £5.
Full set of stock springs £20
Big bore exhaust, see pic £25 SOLD
Short air intake, see pic £20

Mark

P.S. It's a 1000 mile round trip for me, so I would like the money up front. If you're going to JapFest I'll accept payment in cash on the day.

Mark, try using some liquid black shoe polish on that drivers seat, the one that is a bottle with a sponge at the end. It will make it good as new. Worth a try for a couple of quid.

Hi Mark,

That's interesting.

I also have a lead under the driver's seat that seems to go nowhere.

Must be the same as your's.

I suppose that the seat belt warning light was never fitted to 'UK' spec cars.

Its fitted to every car but on later spec models it says "security" on the dash.

Hi Paula

The lead comes from the seat and the nylon plug goes into another nylon plug which disappears under the carpet towards the dash. My car is a 93 but has extra trimmings - it also had air bag, tinted windows and mirrors, A/C for the rear passengers, ashtray in the centre console etc.

That lead you are referring to underneath your seat operates the electric seat movement controls on the drivers seat. I have it connected up on mine, it's nice to have.

Ben.

Ben.
Not all leather has electric mate, only us chosen ones. its the connection for the seatbelt, thats why the seatbelt is part of the seat, not attached to the chassis.

on older cars you have a light on the dash in the left hand panel that says "seatbelt" in red and a pic of the seatbelt, on later models this changed and says "security" in orange. I think it has something to do with that, but i'm not sure if the 6 has pre-tensioners on the seatbelts.

According to Ben earlier in the thread it's 'movement' controls.

Hi again Guys,

Just now I took these fotos of the lead.

It comes from under the driver's front carpet and is simply lying on the carpeted floor under the driver's seat.

So what do you think my lead is for?

My 1997 grey leather seats are manually operated () and here are the relevant pages from my Owner's Manual for both the electrically and manually operated driver's seats.

Manual

Electric

Hey some cars apparently had seat warmers like my old Volvo 340

definately for the seatbelt pre-tensioners. I took the door cards off the P reg I just collected and the seat belt mechanism is HUGE and looks like its a trick bit of kit, not just an interia belt mechanism.
