i'm loving that sweet looking leather. Is it possible to repair the old leather seats to that condition?
'93 mx6 KLZE. CM stage1, 9lb. fidanza, ss autochrome, Catless, pheno spacers, prob. chip, bald tires, polyurethane front motor mount inserts, protege5 rear calipers, messed up door lock,
All the last cars had grey leather interiors as standard.

I thought all the last cars had the grey leather interior, or it just an option?
I made my offer by e-mail. I think this car is worth a premium, and would love to own it, but its only worth the top book at £1800 tops.
Hope I get it :-)
92 Red, 100k mint, new gearbox, clutch, flywheel, RS Decat, 18" MVK's, Green stuff pads, DVD twin screens, full CAI, EBC drilled and grooved discs, boat loads of Meguiars, need nitro LOVE IT!
From the ebay listing
Q: Hi, Has this car had a timing belt change yet?
A: Hi, i think it uses a chain which needs changing every 100,000 miles
Err wrong...............i think.
It does look nice but the owner doesn't seem to know much about it.
Not for me I'm sorry.
It may have been me who asked that question
I did respond thanking him for his answer and corrected him.
If anyone on here does want to buy her it would be worth bearing in mind that the timing belt would need changing in 10,000 miles, although at 11 years old i'd probably get it done straight away.

the price is coming down slowly from what i've seen so when reality sets in and the guy realises that £2k+ is dreamland then you might get it Mike.
I saw a 23,000 mile car in London sell on Ebay last year for £800.
Buying a future classic like a 6 or Corrado etc isnt always about just the car, its also about the owner and their enjoyment of it and as others have said, the limited knowledge of this owner makes me think he's just trying it on. I know everyone would like their car to be worth top dollar, but you have to draw the line somewhere and mine would be at £1500 for a car that age.
1 thing to consider. My mum bought a 1992 Fiesta 1.3 in 2001 which had 19,000 on the clock. It had done such short journeys that after 2 months the headgasket went and 1 valve was sticking. Then after the rebuild the tappets started to get louder and louder over time. It was a good clean car, but the engine had suffered badly from doing little miles over a long time.
[color="Yellow"]I've taken people's money, without delivering goods. I've lied about it, too! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ME!

Yea I know what you mean. In the job that I do, I am a warranty claims manager for mechanical breakdowm warranty, carbon build up is a major killer of a lot of componants in low mileage older cars.
My offer would be around the £1500-£1600 mark. Though I had some great news on my car this week, I had loads of leaks, thought all over the engine, turned out to be a hose clip that was nacked on the bottom of the IAC valve, so that also sorted the idle missfire. My car is now mint, apart from the drivers seat bolster, but I have a fix for that, so in my mind, its better than that 45k one!
Thanks for the bits mate
Mike

Looks like he's dropped the price again to £2300. I really hope he does get the price he wants, but I think £1500 would be around the most that anyone would pay. I'd consider more if he'd had the cambelt done.
