We had 40 watchers out of 390 views but only 3 actually bid. Strange thing is, theres still 14 people with it on their watch list even tho the auction has been dead for days.

Good thing about yours is that the opening bid is a good starter for you so even if you get 1 bid you havent lost too much. Would like to see you get close to the £500 for it though as the leather is worth a ton.

My advice is put it on Autotrader for a tenner. We've had a call-a-day from that advert instead on 1 from ebay. Our buyer said he didnt trust ebay and I think a lot of people think this way with cars. Worth a go mate, we got top dollar in the end, and a nice buyer to deal with rather than being let down.

Great stuff Paul, well done! Glad to see it's gone to a good home
You've gotta be serious if you travel that far...I went all the way to York to get mine (on a train, yuck!)

As for the watchers, I for one tend to keep things I'm interested in on my watch list even after the auction's finished, if only as a price comparison for later on. It's also much easier if it doesn't sell, as then you're still watching it if it's relisted.

I'm also pretty skeptical (sp?) about buying items as expensive as cars on eBay; there are several nightmare stories about PayPal refunds, money witholding etc, which I think you mentioned the other day anyway. Oh well, I'm still an eBay addict

And best of luck with yours Gerry. Bring on a bidding war!
