Got to admit I'm inclined to agree with you Mark, I wish we could remove ours as the lines of the car are upset by the number plate, no matter which method you use.
I have considered using an adhesive plate and having that instead but dont think that would look any better.
IMHO, it makes the car look wrong at the front.
Just like that Alfa with the number plate on one side of the bumper.
Funny you should mention that, cos I was thinking of doing that. But the more I think about it the more I think you're right. The offset (square) plates look ok on Skylines, cos they're predominantly square cars, but they kinda ruin the lines of 6s and Alfas etc...

My feeling's are that the MX6 was designed without a front number plate in mind.
...the rectangle plate, no matter how you look at it, is an 'add on', there is no obvious mounting point like most cars.
I've always fancied the US style bumper that is completely smooth
I entirely agree mate. The pics of the US 6s look so much better for that reason, grrr!
Interesting positioning of the plate there...how did you do that?

Sorry mate, I just assumed that was yours!
Guess they've relocated the plate as the bumper doesn't have the usual indent...
