Parts Wanted from UK to the USA
Hi,
I am in the USA, Seattle, Washington
Is there anyone over there who will try and set up a way for me to purchase the "E-Spec" lights/bulbs/wiring that comes in your MX6 overthere? Or A-Spec lights in the USA SUCK BAD.
Sorry for the late response i think were all a bit taken a back from your request. Not a very frequent question. ( generally things are cheaper in the states than UK ! )
Can i ask why you need the E spec parts and i assume Mazda are being a pain and wont supply you directly ? I can give you a UK dealers details if that would help ?
How much do you expect the parts to cost ? As Mr Customs ( Nasty Man ) would no doubt be interested and then there funds exchange which can be a pain too.
Let me know a few more details and ill see what we can do for you.

E-Spec Lights
Hi,
Thanks for the fast reply.
I don't need the E-Spec parts.... I WANT THEM.
Our A-spec lights are crappy.... The inside reflectores are noy chromed...they are painted gray...the plastic lenses fade/turn yellow...look bad.
There is only 1 place in the states that will/can get e=spec lights and they cost $745.00 US Dollars per pair. They don't know how to hook them up or anything...
I think the E-Spec lights are very nice looking and A LOT better than the US ones.
No, NONE of the US Dealership in Seattle give a **** anyways... Hell, they are not ever open on Saturday to sell replacement parts. Plus they don't know anything about the E-Spec Light set-up.
I think that if I could get these cheap enough and make a install kit that I could sell these state side.
Can someone take a pic of the wiring of the headlights or get a wiring diagram from Mazda overthere and send it to me?
Can you find out the cost of:
Light Assembly, Turn Signal Assembly, bulbs, etc

Hey, the wiring diagram that is shown above... It looks like it is for a single bulb type housing,,, not a dual like the e-specs are.... Am i correct on this?
Let me know...
Can anyone still help with a diagram and a pic? Or pics?
That's the correct UK wiring diagram.
They are the two single filament bulb type, rated 55W each for full and dipped beam.
The twin filament type are usually 55/60W.
I appreciate that it does look as though it is a single bulb.
Also, from what I read, the main reason the US guys want e-spec lights is that ours are projector beams. i.e. they have a lens in front of the bulb.
I know it's a 626, but you get the drift.

Einstein,
Hey...sorry to ask so many questions.
Your car is a 626... so will be the same for a MX6?
Yes, you are correct...I want the projector...also yours are made of glass...ours are plastic. And the reflecter chrome is much better. Do you have many problems with "glass breakage" on the lights?
I noticed that the back of the light assembly there is a motor or control of some kind... is it a self leveling thing? or something attached to them...can anyone answer that question?
Does anyone know who I may contact to get exact prising/part numbers etc on all the stuff?
Can you find out what cost is on the fog lamps?
Again...thanks...YOUR A GREAT HELP
If you want something from USA or Seattle...let me know
The small motor is headlight leveling I.E. when you have a heavy load there is a switch in the dash that you move to 1 of 4 positions to set the height of the projector beam. The j-spec doesnt have that bit.

I originally thought your were after rear light clusters - oops anyway by the looks of things the price wont vary much between your quoted $700 and getting them shipped from the UK to the US.
As for the motor on the lights - Theres a switch inside the car to adjust the angle of the lights - Just save poping the hood to adjust them - cant say as i use mine at all.
Just ring or email a UK dealer - just pick one at random from www.mazda.co.uk they should get back to you with a list of prices - I wouldnt mention your from the US at this stage though. Just out of interest how much do MX6 sell for over in the States ? as i woulndt dream of spending that much money on lights ! ( Turbos etc granted but lights ! )

( Looks like a dual post form MX6-UK - Sorry dave must be typing at the same time )
Hi Mike,
I won't mention the headlight leveling system as I think its covered now ! only that it's rarely used.
The 626 and MX6 lights are the same spec, but different shape.
Breakage wise, I think one guy over here had a cracked one a while ago, and cruisemad helped him out. (cheers Kyle)
As far as I know, the front fogs are very expensive as well. Not all models had them, and the 626 may be identical for these. Mine have a yellow covering inside, and shine bright yellow when switched on.
If cost is an issue, there are a few breakers here, and although the parts are hard to find, would be much cheaper.
I will try to find out some prices for you, both new and used, also the cost of shipping.

In our parts supplier forum there is the link to a mazda breakers.
If you are going to be shipping on a regular basis and want a continued supply of parts you might be better off talking to them as we only get to know about any scrapped cars after they get them.

Saying that, none had any in stock, although one did have a complete front end, but wern't going to split the parts.
