if i treated my car to a set of 17's would anyone be interested in my standard wheels?
they are the later type( see link to my pics below ) and have very good RE71's all round.
they are in very good condition.
what are they worth folks?

They are Dead Expensive to buy new, but to be honest I hated them and glad to get my new ones on, I have kept them for Track use. So I dont know how much you would get for them. Was there not a set on her for £50.00??????
Mods So Far - Clear indicators, Momo Gear Knob, Reverse White Indeglo Dials, Front Strut Brace, Carbon Fibre/Chrome Pedals, EBC Turbo Groove Discs & Greenstuff Pads, 7mm Blue Magnecor ignition leads.19" team dynamic diablos alloys, pirelli p7000 tyres. Wizard of NOS kit.
They tend to fetch £50 - £100 and people basically buy them for the tyres.
At the end of the day - If your buying new whells you usually want to upgrade ( like your planning ) so demand is usually very low - hence the price.
Youd do better to store them and put them back on when you sell it and sell your uprated wheels separatley - Theyll be alot more interest int eh uprated ones .....
i've been having that exact same thought myself g-force!!
went to halfords today to order my wheels and just could not bring myself to part with £800 even though i know they will make the car look soooo much better
i think i will look around for some second hand ones ( shame i didnt buy those ones off cornish )

mind you, I have to agree... I know Wolfie likes em, but each to his own taste, and i dont knock him for that one bit.
I would like something bigger and better, but money and getie are the biggest drawbacks..
It's not like when the suspension was a tad soft.. (I said it was knackered) Sh had to give in...
If I was to kerb it so hard, that the wheel broke, (std wheels are so tough, the wishbone would snap first) It would be no use at all... I have 6 of the buggers, so spares take care of it I need to damage at least 3 of em, and be able to afford to buy the new ones... 'tis life I s'pose..
I should have used a bit more persuasion over mike's 17", but no use crying over spilt alloys...

Just to clear this up, the wheels are the later style of 15" rims, I have them on mine thanks to 666 (Ben)...
I paid £150 for them, but they are in excellent condition and had good tyres (and i needed 4 tyres anyway so saved some money)
Personally I really like this style of wheel, allbeit a bit small, and they are not that common either, outside of club meets I have never seen them on another car while out and about. Especially with the wings badge centre caps...
