A bit of a strange request......... but someone hit my front number plate (I suspect it was with a tow bar) when I was parked and broke the plate intself and the holder/plinth it's mounted on (ie, the bit between the flat number plate and the curved bumper). Obviously replacing the number plate was easy but I can't seem to find a replacement holder/plinth which is just a flimsy bit of black plastic. None of the online used spares places have any and Mazda say the part is no longer made.
Any ideas where I might get this? Or what do other people do? - I can't be the only person who's had this, though I can't see anything on the forum - this part must get broken quite a lot in similar incidents.
Or maybe I just screw the number plate straight onto the bumper?
