I have fitted two of these, but their part number was SWP2014.

Cost just under £30 delivered next day.

You will also need a 5mm allen key to fit them.

regards,

ifc
Are these identical to the MX-6 ones, i.e. can I fit one only or are they slightly different and need to be done in pairs.

If your MX6 drop links are the same as the Probe then Nissan Micra 90 - 95 are an exact match. I've just replaced mine on my 94 24v Probe and they cost me 8 quid each from a local motor factors.

I spoke to a bloke at South Wales Propshafts about the differences between the Micra and 626 rear drop links. He said that they look the same size but that the 626 ones were a bit tougher-looking, hence the higher price.

I bought and fitted a pair of the 626 ones about 18 months ago and the rubber has perished already on both of them. I was a bit disappointed that they needed replacing so soon. (SWP's warranty is for 1 year.) I ended up buying another set from SWP because I needed some pronto (for an MOT) and they were the only people who could deliver quickly. The new set look tougher than the last ones. (I hope they are!)

The mechanic at my local garage says the after-market ones are rarely as good as the official parts and that if you think you'll have the car for more than 2 years it might be worth splashing out on Mazda/Ford parts.
