Just checked in the Mazda parts catalogue... all 626 and MX-6 are the identical part number.. and should fit ok singly.

I spoke to a bloke at South Wales Propshafts about the differences between the Micra and 626 rear drop links. He said that they look the same size but that the 626 ones were a bit tougher-looking, hence the higher price.
I bought and fitted a pair of the 626 ones about 18 months ago and the rubber has perished already on both of them. I was a bit disappointed that they needed replacing so soon. (SWP's warranty is for 1 year.) I ended up buying another set from SWP because I needed some pronto (for an MOT) and they were the only people who could deliver quickly. The new set look tougher than the last ones. (I hope they are!) The mechanic at my local garage says the after-market ones are rarely as good as the official parts and that if you think you'll have the car for more than 2 years it might be worth splashing out on Mazda/Ford parts. |
