There's a lot of contradictory info on this forum about throttle body mods? What size do you bore them out to and do you have to machine a venturi back into them? should the new throttle flap be chamfered as well? I can get hold of a 64(and a bit)mm throttle flap from a BMW 328i. Is this big enough & whould this do if my TB was machined to suit? Is the hassle be worth the benefit? Cheers, Mik

I've just got a bored out 65mm TB, and you really wouldn't want to go any further than that, as in places the walls are pretty thin... Yes it has made a noticeable difference, but bear in mind I have no CAT in my zorst either.

Def worth it, but it all depends how much it's gonna cost you, a local tuning place wanted well over £200 to do it, which I think is far too much for the performance gain.

No thread mate, spoke to Dave about it at Castle Coombe... You'll have to have a word with him as I'm not sure if he can still get them done, and you'd need to get another TB as well...

Think I can get one fairly cheap, and seeing as I'm working for an engineering company right now, I might do some investigating. I'm sure one of the guys here could do it after work.

But out of curiosity - Dave if your out there ??
