As some of you know, my front brakes are getting very low now and braking is not at its best. I have been looking at EBC Green Stuff pads for the front and was also looking at EBC disc's to match, but was told yesterday that they were easily warped. As my current disks have that problem I don't want disc's that are going to do the same again.
Looking through the US forum a lot of them advise not to get cross drilled disc's as the Brembo etc std replacements out perform them. So what would you go for???

I got EBC green stuff pads, and yes, they are better...
I then needed new disks, so got some from needforspeed...
turned out they were EBC disks... fitted them anyway..
EBC pads, EBC disks should be OK.... yeah
Warped within a month.

Why not take a look at the RotorDiscs that Dave and I have fitted?
We've also both got EBC pads fitted, but I think Dave might be playing with some freebie Reds he got sent him.
The problem with EBC (apparently) is they started out making Bike brakes, and transfered the same technology to cars. All well and good, but car discs need to withstand A LOT more heat than bikes, as cars are heavier, and the discs are enclosed. This is something that EBC have yet to put any research into, hence they have a bad rep for cracking and warping discs.
A local factors place near me rekons he can get hold of mintex kit that is far better, but the price is twice as much as well!!

Thanks

My disks are shot anyway, so who cares let the grinding begin (on mine)

Can I just add that any disc can warp if used wrong.
I had Black Diamond disks on mine and Green stuff pads.
Green stuff do stop faster but in doing so build up more heat.
I took the Assassin on Castle Coombe as you know and obviously there was lots of heavy breaking. So come to the cool down lap after the checkerd flag and ([fizzle] this I'm having another quick one) so still belted it around till I hit the pit lane.
Straight out to the car stand and then park the car. WITH VERY HOT PADS on a single spot on the discs. My black Diamond warped.
The way I should of finished was to slow and use the breaks as little as possible on that last lap and cool them down sufficiently so they were at a much lower temp when i stopped. Moral by all means break hard and have fun but like a turbo timer try to cool things off before you stop for any period.
