They're about all there is Del. Unless you want to pay £200+ for one from a retailer...

Just double-check here with the ebay number and we'll let you know on an individual basis.

Thinking about this one ...

Item number: 7970640036

Oh and while you're here Ken, what do I need to lower the car?

Cheers

Pompey,
you'll just have to post the item number.
As for lowering, mine is lowered with PI lowering spring from proven-products.co.uk.
Replace the std spring with these and down she goes.
I would probably recommend replacing the struts too, but since the only place we can get the Tokico Illumina's from is US, I had to pass on those for the moment.

The one you are looking at is a shorter pipe.. suitable for the automatic 6.
If you have a manual, then a longer pipe would be advisable, get more cold air in
something like this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...970106776&rd=1
It's a bit expensive, Jase and Stu got one from ebay and I'm sure they'll let you know who from.
Mail him and you know you're getting one that fits. The price was lower to if I remember right

I got the full length CAI from ebay in the US, it's the one with 2 sections of pipe, rather than 1. Took a little modifying to fit perfectly, but looks and sounds great. Once shipping was factored into the price, it cost me £46... Which is about the same as you'd pay for the single pipe kit over here.

As Russ said - just need the springs. PI are the ones to get these days as Eibach don't make them for the 6 anymore.

RE: CAI from ebay

Hi PPD and all,

I purchased one a few days back ($29.95)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
along with these reverse glows ($17.95)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
Plus shipping of $52 in insurance making ~ $102 or £54 all in

I emailed him before bidding regards fitment, availability and shipping which all seemed OK. Only after paying for them did I stumble across Hecklers post regards JaxxRacing . I hope I fair better ??

As yet I've got no reason to doubt him myself yet but the jurys out. I've just mailed him to check all is OK so will let you know how I get on.

Just an update - after nearly two weeks (purchased 25/04) of waiting to hear anything from Jax_racing (was starting to get worried about my $100) I got an email today saying the items have been shipped. Poor communication is an understatement... but I'll give them a chance and see what turns up and when... ??? fingers crossed.

Oh and regards the dials what LEDs did you order from that site you mentioned heckler? do you still have a part number that a re the correct fit? Thanks...

Chris.

For the dash, you need some of the LED 501 bulbs... In whatever colour you choose. Don't go for the extra large ones though, they ahve a 15mm head as opposed to the 10mm head of the 9 LED super bright ones... and they won't fit in the hole in the back of the dash.

Bulbs cost me £15 for 4, dials cost me £16 imported from the US, I still need to strip them out of the dash and trim the centers slightly to allow the light for the needle to get through properly... And get the fuel gauge working again, as the dial for that side is of centre quite a lot and I think blocking the gauge.

That's a job for tomorrow.

Intake and Dials turned up...

Well to jax_racing from me it seems as the Intake and Dials turned up today. Exactly as descibed and packed as a gift for $25 so no extras to pay.

25/04 got them on ebay and paid up.
6/05 email from them to say they had been sent out.
11/05 turned up - well packed and exactly as descibed.

So 2&1/2 weeks and £54 - seems alright to me. Lack of communication caused concern but at the end of the day they turned up as hoped.

Am away this weekend so wont be able to fit but will let you know how I get on when I do. Lets hope the dials dont foul the needles!

Oh and thanks for the LED details Heckler

Chris,

Have you fitted the Intake yet? The missus has promised to buy me one for fathers day so I'm on the lookout for the decent, cheap and easy to fit type.
