Got a SS exhaust fitted the other day cost me £325.I it a dip in a road I drive on every day but I must have been going a bit fast as my old exhaust broke in half, just as well the old one was rotten. So now I'm getting 18 miles to the gallon instead of 12,should pay for itself in no time what with the price of unleaded at the minute, would post some pics if I knew how.

18 mpg seems a little low, unless you're using the lead foot around town a lot. I average about 20 around town, and 30 on a run.

Ah, and auto... that explains it. You can knock an average of 3-5mpg of for that.

Complain to the council that fitted the bumps. I'm not sure how it works but people who's cars have been damaged by speed bumps can get the council to pay for the repares.
30mpg with an auto, that's impressive. I assume that's a lot of long motorway type journeys? Because most of my driving is local in town, my average trip is 10 mins and about 5 miles. The few trips I've done down the motorway have seen me average 27mpg, but that's with a very heavy foot and averaging 80-90mph with occasionly blips higher for overtaking and fun.
When I first got the car I did several long journeys and averaged around 30mpg. I'm wondering if I should just get the timing checked and mixture set, but my idle speeds are great at around 650-750 when warmed up.
