Glow Dials bulk buy?

I know a few people have wondered about glow dials... I and a few others have the reverse glow ones (see after pics in sig) but they're not a perfect match for the lumiglow gauges I have.

Well after months of watching ebay the only person selling the ones I like is this guy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...976571796&rd=1

Unfortunately when I contacted him last time he wanted a stupid $58 for shipping. Well, how about seeing if he'll ship several sets for the same price. Would work out a lot cheaper... suggest that we'd pay $100 for 4 sets delivered. If he's smart he'll go for it.... If he doesn't then he's a dumbarse.

Would work out to $25 each, plus another couple of quid for them to be sent out when they arrive.

Additional, I've emailed the guy with the suggestion... will see what he says... If he goes for it, it works out at around £20 each inc delivery from me to you. Still cheaper than buying them over here.... which you can't in that style.

I've currently got the reverse glow ones and they're fine... they just don't match the lumiglow gauges... and I want them too. If we can get them for around £20, I can afford that.

Roland, I've had a look at that site before, but they don't do anything for the 6 unfortunately.

You're welcome to them Jason if I get the new ones, but I've had to trim them a fair bit to get them to fit correctly. So the fuel/temp gauge looks untidy around the retaining screws. Nothing that a washer wouldn't hide, but the holes were set way to high and I had to cut them. I also had to trim the needle holes a little bigger, but that's harder to notice.

I'm interested in this but i've heard stories about the gauges not working afterwards and needles snapping off. What about the inherint dimmer switch? Does it become redundant? or can the new transformer be integrated to it (switch on the dash)?

I've suggested that if he can do $25 a set inc shipping, providing we order at least 4. Waiting for the sellers to get back to me.

Elmer, yes there have been occasions where gauges haven't worked. From my experience, this has been down to poor quality dials and/or improper fitment. My fuel needle wouldn't work after wards, but I removed them the other day, fitted them to a new temp/fuel gauge are a little trimming, and it works perfectly.

Proper care and attention is the key and you'll be fine. Some of the dials I've seen weren't shipped properly packed and have a curve to them, this means the stick up slightly and that's what catches on the needle.

That website Roland posted did do dials for the 6, but they were a lot more expensive than the one's on ebay.

They don't have anything listed for the 6, and from what I could see... the ones they do require the removal of the needles.
