slow puncture

I have a slow puncture in my NSF tyre. It looks as if a small stone has gone in and air is bubbling out. It is about 1/3 of the way across the tyre.

I am told that you can have small punctures like this repaired - does anyone have any experience of this?

If it's on the tread of the tyre, then it should be fine to have it repaired. Be wary of places that tell you it can't be repaired.

Hi Ian,

Recently had two punctures in both offside tyres and had to have 2 new tyres because they couldn't be repaired, punctures too close.

The following link will help and to shorten it:-

J - V rated tyres 1 repair upto 6mm diameter after prep.

Above V rated no repairs allowed.

I didn't know that... don't MX6's use V rated as minimum?

i went to have apunture repaired and they used a ruler thingy to check ifit was allowed. In my case it was too close to the edge of the tread... sob sob.

.....and so i find myself asking, 'At what point does the 'end' start?!'

Almost any place will do puncture repairs if the fit tyres... I've often used Kwik Fit as they're litteraly a 2 min drive away, so easy to reach with a puncture.
