At last, shes back on the road

Well, one day to go tbh.
Just spent the last 3 hours changing the power steering pump.
After weeks( 12 to be truthful finally found time to get my mx6 sorted. Not an easy job but not in the end mind blowingly difficult, About an hour to get old one off and next 2 getting replacement back on and making sure all bolts and connections were tightened correctly got her running. Boy does she sound good, the grin has returned. After the decat pipe and s/s headers and scorpion exhaust this car sounds sooooooooooo good there is no way I am going to change her for a GTR32 or anything ever, never til the end of time.
Just got to get insurance swapped over from my Jeep tomorrow morning and one final check and prob belt change I'm back on the road in the best grin producing car of all time imo.
sorry to go on but its been a labour of love and lots of blood, sweat and tears.
Will get some pics up soon as
Thanks to all for advice I have got directly from you lot and indirectly thru searching this site.
Blimey, this is beginning to turn into an oscar winners speech.
Cheers
Si

Well done.. sounds like it's taken quite a while to get sorted.
I'm glad you think it's worth it... I'm sure most of us here would too.

And you just can't beat the

Just drove the car home for the first time, she sounds the dogs. Unfortunately my sneaky local council/police have installed a new speed camera and I got flashed. Bast****. I know, my fault. Reckon about 38 mph. No excuse and normally sit there at 30. Never been nicked speeding in a car b4, only in a company van. Oh well, that will push the old preminms up as will have poss 9 pts on my licence. Never done for speeding for 14 years and now 3 times in under 6 months

3 more points and you win a pushbike

I reckon if everyone in the country goes out and smashes up a speed camera, and when they put it back up, go and smash it again.... they will figure out it costs too much money, and hopefully give up with them..

I have been tempted to do this. I'm not going to, but, boy would it feel good.

Grin Speed Cameras in Holland

I remember once seeing a programme about how the Dutch blow them to pieces with dynamite.......We should do it here.

At first I got my local garage to look at it and was told about 1400 to repair so I said I'd do it myself. They bought it back to my workshop and the driver mentioned that the engine parts were in the boot. I thought he meant a few parts but, nope, he meant most of the engine.
Had a mare sussing out where all the leads and vacuum pipes went.

And yes it sound the dogs nuts with the short ram coupled with the decatpipe and scorpion exhaust on
