MOT Good news!! :)

I've just got back from the MOT test station with a shiny new green piece of paper

Advisories:

Stone chip in window is just passable;
Handbrakes are borderline but that may be becuse it's been stood for 3 months;
Tyres will need replacing in a short while (Good job there's 4 nearly new ones arriving tomorrow then )
On rear drop link is worn, but passed

All in all, she sailed through with just consumables needing attention.

So, all I need to do is get the manual box in her and she's perfick!

Kev.
One happy chappy!

PS: Sorry about the bad news from other members

You can use Micra drop links. See the suppliers & parts section.

Last seen standing in line for the crusher.
Forgiven - maybe
Forgotten - not likely

Thanks Ian. My current, roadworthy, car had these replaced last year, so when I take it off the road to combine with the latest addition I'll use those as the ones on the latest car appear to be good.

Failing that a trip to the Nissan dealer will be in order.

Hope the windscreen chiop isn't too big.. get a repair done on it before it expands.

The chip isabout 10mm across and the plastic laminate is starting to fog. The good news is I'm covered on my insurance for it, with an excess of £60 so I'll be getting a new windscreen in the not too distant

The drop links will be done as soon as I take my current car off the road and the tyres are consumables and will be replaced when I put on the 16" wheels anyway.

The testrer felt that the handbreak was probably due to lack of use and a goos cleane etc would fix it. Her also stated there was a lot of travel but that can be adjusted.

Considering all I did was drive it about 30 miles the night before to make sure everything was working and clear out any moisture from the exhaust etc, I'm pretty chuffed with it.

Notch up another gold star for the six's build quality and longevity
