KLZE in bits...

Finally got around to taking the new engine to bits today. Got both the heads off, in mint condition, and the cams are all mint too.

All the peripherals are off as well - a small piece of plastic snapped off the bottom of the side plastic cover which was a pain - but nothing a small trail of superglue wont fix!

Interestingly, if anyone needs a second hand J-Spec air conditioning pump, let me know - im quite happy for someone to just take it away cos i dont need it.

Had a good look at the piston heads and housings - the seats and heads themselves are ok, nothing a good clean and profile cant sort. The housings themselves still have the honing marks and only the minutest hint of a lip at the top, so this engine has not experienced a lead right foot in anger! @-

The next step is to get alot of the parts together now - this will take time as money is short. Things like the SS headers and gasket sets - and the manifold spacers, so that we can begin the port profiling of the heads etc.

Lots to do, very little money to do it with, but willpower always wins

Ben.

So how long till you think this beast will be re-built?

I would be interested to see how quick a modded J-Spec can be.

I am thinking of adding Mark 626GT to my ignore list
