Central Locking - Drama!

Anybody experienced this? Left car with keys in the ignition (ignition off), went back half an hour later to find it had locked itself. Took the AA 40 minutes but he eventually managed to 'tweak' the interior rocker switch on the drivers door with a probe - very carefullly with no damage - top man!
Since then, once or twice, the central locking has 'clicked in' as I'm driving along.
Anybody else had this problem or have a view as to the cause?

this isn't normally a 'problem' but a feature of the alarm system on the car.
My old one would lock the doors on it's own after a period of time if I disarmed the alarm, but didn't open any doors.

My new one locks the doors of the car at 1500 rpm and will also lock the doors and set the alarm 30s after exiting the car if I don't.

I'd check the features of your alarm system

Thanks Russell. I don't have a 'spec' for my alarm system (it's a Cobra) as it was fitted before I got the car. However, it's never done it before.

Guess I'll just live with it and NOT leave it with the keys in the ignition.

As the Americans say "I'll take a pill and get over it" !
