Air Con Re-gassing

I'm going to be fitting a new condenser (second hand) to my 6 this weekend. The one on has a leak. The whole system came off my other car so I know it is completele empty and when I tried to get it re-gassed last year the guy said the condenser was leaking (the other car had had a little knock at the front before I bought it and the system was empty when I removed it).

Now I'm not sure but I have been trawling through threads cos I'm sure there is a member that mentioned that they re-gassed systems or can get them re-gassed. I'm not trying to get the job done cheap and I would rather pay a member to do it than someone I dont know and I dont mind traveling a bit.

Er...not doing it now, got the wrong condenser , the one I bought must be from a later model so I'm in the market for a condenser for a '92. I can supply photos of what I dont want and consequentially I have one for sale! or if someone knows of somewhere I can get the bits to convert I would do that.

found the company that supplied and fitted the Air Con system in to MX 6's at Mazda dealerships. Seems that a lot where imported with out A/C which was then fitted by a company called V-VAC based in Kent.
Their phone number is 01732 868080.
They have been able to supply me with a new condensor and drier for my 1997 MX6 V6 ABS for a total of £191.52. Mazda could have supplied the same bits but at a cost of nearly £500 !!

As some people know, they are the people who came up and fitted my A/C.

Apparently, they had the last 3 kits in the country.. but that was years ago..

Four days before the front of my car was removed by a VW Golf I fitted a new condenser from AutoKool, it cost £65 + VAT and delivery and fit perfect......but now it is very bent!

I had my 92 mx6 re-gassed for the first time since I bought her she was unconverted and still running r12 or not as when it was tested the system had no pressure.. Anyhow the guy vac tested it and filled it with a compatible gas?

To my delight I heard a click under the bonnet and freezing air pumped into the cab I was chuffed as sh1t. The following morning I heard a disturbing clicking coming from the ac pump that evening it stopped working. I had a place called coolit in winterbourne abbas look at it.

He was able to not only tell me but show me the various leaks of oil coming out of the system at the front the dryer and something else maybe the exchange anyway he said it'd cost £340 quid to fix.... Too much for the 20 days a year it's hot enough to use it

This guy btw used to work for Mazda and knew a hell of alot about my 6 he was telling me about an early recall with the 6's causing trouble because people wern't fitting the rear vcg back properly! Can't remember what the recall job was though.. Shame he doesn't do other work on em' Only charged me £25 quid to diagnose.
