Well guys and gals, my project has really moved on since I last posted about it. By Wednesday evening of next week, the following will have been installed:
2*Front Wheel Bearings
2*Track Rod Ends
2*New Front Wishbones
4*Braided Steel Goodrich Brake Lines
2*Front Brake Calipers
1*Uprated Rear ARB (already fitted with new drop links)
1*Full Set of Daiyama Fully Height/Ride Adjustable Coilovers
This is the first phase of my cars redevelopment, and has been a long time coming. I have been trying to get the money to do this so that I can have a real go-kart feel, and now its finally happening.
I will get some photos of the new gear before it goes on, and afterwards on the car. One thing I will say is that I am impressed by the quality, and value for money presented by the Daiyama shocks. Just by looking at them I can tell that they are well built and appear to be a great product. Obviously the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and there will be lots of that going on this Christmas!
I will take this opportunity to recommend Gary Yuen at
MYGarage in Glasgow for supplying the Coilovers, Mark at
Probestore for all of the replacement parts / components, and Julian at
Balance Motorsport for the Roll Bar and advice. They have all been most helpful, and have all provided service levels which I suggest that Mx-6 owners everywhere should partake upon. I have not been paid for this in any way, I just believe our club should know about decent suppliers.
If anyone wants any advice or tips about this suspension setup, please post on this thread. If anyone has any tips for me regarding the height / ride adjustment for MX-6's please feel free to post on here as I will be asking anyway!
I will update this post with pics next Wednesday.
Ben.
