Check the voltage at the dizzy connector...

rear most pin of 3 pin connector from memory.. should be 12V from ignition switch..

Check MAIN and IG KEY fuses under the bonnet..

Yes Matt, they feed power to the dizzy..

If you test for power at the dizzy, and you get 12V on the 3rd pin (possibly black with white stripe) then don't bother checking the fuse, as all is well..

Any other fault would be a wiring problem, the dizzy or ECU.. the latter two being unlikely..

Did you check for power going to the dizzy?

and I presume you are still checking for a spark...

Basically, the CPS in the dizzy sends a signal to the ECU, this in turn sends a signal back to the Ignitor module, and then to the coil and plugs.

If there is no spark, the only things it could be are the Wiring, Dizzy, or ECU
It is unlikely all 6 leads, and plugs are shot..

Hi Matt ,
the last prob i had with mine not starting was the dizzy ,i had voltage to the dizzy and all wired in correct, when they did a diagnostic test it was the coil inside the dizzy that was at fault,,,

once again good luck on getting it going,,

Matt,

Can you do me a favour and connect the lead to the power steering pump please and try her. Its actually being listed as one of the electronic advance control system sensors .. to the best of my knowledge, this lead is what tells your steering to stiffen up at speed, but hey .. lets give it a go as you mention its not connected..

Forget the PS wire, i have just found another section stating the engine will fire without out.

Also, and sorry to be thorough...

VAF on the right way around ? and if an auto, is everything connected on the box. Are we checking for spark on different parts of the body to ensure earths are good ?

Also check for codes ...

Nine times out of ten if you get issues after an engine swap it's either Something left unplugged or usually a bad earth!
