Hi Naoise

Welcome to the club.

Piers14 would be the guy to talk to about going to the track. He's in Dublin I think

Hey Nee.

Happy Boxing Day Naoise,

Yes that is my car, many thanks for the compliments.

It's an August 1997 car and one of the last made.

The late models had Speedline wheels fitted and their size was 16" x 7JJ with 205/50 Z16 tyres all round.

Earlier MX 6's had 15" x 6 1/2 JJ wheels fitted with 205/55R 87V tyres all round.

The bigger wheel diameter makes the car ride better and cornering is better with the wider rims.

The lower tyre profile helps too.

I have driven both versions.

Take care

Paula

Hiya
was reading your thread on your mx I have just had all the calipers cleaned and one replaced (passenger rear) and put on new discs and pads all round. I only got the standard discs and pads but theres only a small improvement in braking performance. Brake fluid oil level is ok (not sure when the last time it was changed though) but am wondering when you upgraded your discs and pads was there a good improvement?

thanks
naoise

Too be honest I done mine before I had even driven it, as my old boy picked it up for me and when I went to use it had seized callipers, so I cant really compare. But all my other cars that have had aftermarket brakes have deffo been improved.
