Just had new 205/50 ZR16 Accelera Alpha tyres with a 91W rating fitted at a total cost to me of £82. The tyres came from a dealer on eBay, price included courier and arrived next day. Fitted for nowt.
They actually ride rather nicely! The fitter reckoned they'd be noisy and I'd have problems later with the sidewall, but stepson reckons he always says that when the tyres haven't been sold by him!
i got cheap tyres all round. More recently I had soem unusual ones fitted to the front, i think they were £37 or something? anyway, they are brill! I get so much better traction than before, car pulls much better, less noisy now and they look mean! i tell you, cheap tyres these days are pretty good quality and a welcome alternative to proper tyres like toyos etc. for people like me!

Hi Clive,
Same here, I find them quieter and have a better feel to them than the ones I had on before (one was Goodyear Eagle F1, and some obscure make I can't remember on the other). Nankangs are about the same price and my stepson reckoned there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I can't afford Toyo's, Yokohama etc..
And since I sorted the brakes out at the weekend, I'm a happy chappy as the clunk I had on the left side has gone. Sounds like I had a warped disc.
Hey mate, I just realised from another thread that you're in Huddersfield. I have this annoying habit of not looking at locations Anyway, fancy a meet over in Holmfirth sometime for a chat?

brakes disc clunking you say...? hmm, i wonder if thats what is causing my clunk, will check!
aye, we can meet up sometime, Holmfirth isnt too far, I am top side of Huddersfield, so thats straight down M62 junction 24 i think, straight down the road past the school, to the Coffee shop and I am that area, easy!

let arrange something sometime!
I'll PM you when I get a few minutes. Holmfirth isn't far from here either, we were up there a couple of weeks ago. There's a top chippy there on a back street on the other side of the river. Saw a guy with a 355 Ferrari chatting to a SL65 AMG Merc driver by the market there. Seems like a good meeting place!

ha! brill, yeah its a busy old place! I dont want to show up the Ferrari and AMg drivers tho...!!
Sometimes a group of Shelby enthusiasts meet up there, and come through Huddersfield, then presumably down the M62, a right long lien of them, Shelby Cobras I mean, what a noise, especially in Holmfirth!

Yeah, I've seen a Cobra or two up there before now, not sure if they were Shelbys, but they were pretty noisy
Before or after Trax then? If before, gives us 2 weekends.

well, in the group i keep seeing, whcih is very likely the same as what you have seen, there is a Shelby for certain, i have seen it all over the place (i remember registrations quite well) and its proepr nice, in fact, its mint, the engine is amazing. as for the rest its a mix of shelby, and normal cobras or whatever they are (no shelby badges), its a sight to see!
I am thinking about trax actually, but not up on the details, i need to find them out, so might try get there. I am defo off to MPH in November, but PM me when your ready for a brew. I really need to attend these meets, sometimes i am a little embarrased that my 6 is a bit poor, but hey ho!

Hey I wouldn't worry about your 6, mines not the best example body wise. My pic in the garage doesn't show the real condition. It's ok, but not terrific.
