Unhappy Rear suspension arm - Help!

Hi folks, Does anyone have a rear nearside suspension arm for a '92 mx-6 with 4 wheel steer? Can't find one anywhere! The ball joint on the end of mine has well and truly worn out resulting in a comforting tail sway on right hand bends.

Many thanks,

Jamie.

Hi Jamie, shame I didnt know about this a couple of weeks ago as I drove thru Wickwar on my way to Yale to see another mx6 owner.

You should be able to replace just the ball joint, not the whole arm, by drilling out the old one and bolting in a new one.

Try emailing Probestore to see what they can offer.

Thanks Hamster but fell into that trap already! Removed the arm having measured the ball joint's external dimensions and found they matched the front ones; great I thought, just press 'em out of an old front arm and swap. No... The outer part of the ball joint on the rear arms IS the arm and the hardened insert must be cast in cos it sure as hell won't press out (well... not with 14 tons on it anyway!). Thanks all, will try Probestore and balljoint dude and let you know how I get on! Happy motoring, Jamie
