Grin I am shattered !!! Sabbatical needed

Hi everyone,

I am taking a break from the forum for a week or two because I am totally exhausted and not getting any younger.

Staying up to 2.00 & 3.00am in the morning is not much fun and it is making me feel quite unwell.

My co-moderator is around, of course, so please PM Dave (mx6-uk) if there is anything you need to discuss privately.

My new BBQ has now been tested and works well, so I am going to use it a lot this weekend.

The Test Match looks as if it will be close and of course, the GP season gets underway again this weekend so I am going to relax, eat and watch telly.

I had BaBaKa at the MOT place on Tuesday and they fitted new HQ Front Caliper Anti Rattle Springs.

But the clunk is still there and the guy there who fitted them is an ex-racing driver called Graham Ford. He came around to my home and he also thinks that it's probably the Anti Roll Bar causing the noise.

I will tell you all about him soon, fascinating chap.

He suggested that I wrap some material around the left hand side of the bar where it touches the front cross member and secure it with a tie. Then if the clunk is muted a bit, then we will know for sure that this is problem.

When he sat in the car with me, the noise was less when I turned right out of where I live but when I was solo the noise was worse again. We also tried it turning left but the noise does not occur as it never has done.

Finally as I promised, here are a few fotos that I took at Brooklands on Sunday when I met James May. I will post more fotos soon.

Anyway I am going to watch " The Bill " with Richard, if I stay awake, and then I am off to bed as I want all my energy and enthusiam back.

Night guys and happy motoring.

Paula

Grin I am recharged and fighting fit !!!

Hi Stuart and UK members,

Stuart thank you for your good wishes hun <hugs>

I am back with a vengeance now.....

I am sorry if I broke any of the rules or did not know some of them but please remember that I am new to this moderator business.

I just had a call from my best American male friend in Chicago who is one of the USA's top cosmetic surgeons and I feel recharged again.

This guy was a Navy Commander and patched up Americans & Brits who were badly disfigured in the 1st Gulf War.

Together with a friend, I organise his London Seminar where patients from all over the UK and Europe attend to have their surgery done with him in the USA.

I also organise a social event the night before at the awesome Ice Bar off Regents Street and a lovely Pizza Retaurant off the Gloucester Road.

When he is off duty, he is a riot and some of the stories that he tells simply crack me up. He is a great party animal and when he is in town " Watch Out " !!!!

This surgeon totally reconstructed my forehead in 2004 as a legacy of a race car accident at Brands Hatch back in the 1970's.

His positive attitude to life, like the majority of Americans that I know has recharged my battery already.

Still I had a couple of early nights, I think ....

Nite

Paula

Hi Dave,

That sounds great.

Sometimes when I stay with Claire in the USA, we take her Travel Trailer (as they call a Caravan over there) to the northern part of Wisconsin where her late parents bought some land many years back.

I find it very relaxing in one and I hope you come back fully rested.

Take care and have fun.

Nite

Paula
