Cutch flexi pipe nightmares

Hey guys,

I'm not having much fun with my mx-6 at the moment, I was driving her up to norwich last Saturday when all of a sudden when i pressed the clutch pedal in it didn't come back up.

I managed to drive a short way to my destination without having to use the clutch (which isn't fun) and after calling out the RAC guy (who was very quick to respond and really helpfull - thanks RAC guy Steve!) it turns out that the bit of flexi hose which is attached to the clutch slave cylinder (I think) had split and leaked all of the hydraulic fluid all over the floor - doh!

I managed to get it towed to a nearby garage who were quick to phone back and report that the clutch flexi hose was on special order at mazda so i couldn't get it straight away, as such I ordered it from probestore last Saturday smug in the knowledge i'd got a better part and would recieve it quicker.

A few days pass and I hadn't seen that the part has been shipped so I email Mark at Probestore to find out whats hapenned (I actually emailed him Wednesday), apparently he didn't have any of that part in stock and he should get it in in a 'couple days' - which at the time would have meant it would be in on Friday.

I've been furiously chasing up Mark at probestore since Wednesday now to get a better idea of how long it'll take and I've just heard that he'll get the flexi pipe in on Tuesday. In all fairness here Mark @ Probestore has always been prompt in his responses, but it seems that his supplier Goodridge has been vague and slow to respond.

Unfortunately I've just had to rent a car (Seat Ibiza 1.2 3 Cyl. for anyone who's interested - where's the other half of the engine? :P) and the rental runs out on Tuesday so something thats already costing me quite a bit is going to cost me even more when i have to take a £20 charge to increase my rental agreement.

Anyway, my question (finally) is does anyone know where I can source this clutch flexi pipe quickly and get it shipped out next day to the garage where my beloved car has been stranded since Friday of last week? I've spoken with Mazda, and they can get the part in by Tuesday as well, but this is still not good to me, I really wanted to be able to return my rental car by tuesday.

Genuinely, I don't know mate. Mark would've been my first port of call.

It may be worth getting along to Goodrich directly in the UK. Getting the pipe couriered to you, and getting it fitted tomorrow morning.

Ben.

Thanks Ben, it doesn't really matter anyway, with my luck the way it is this week my car will probably be in flames by the end of the week

Does it have to be new? You could ask one of the lads on UKPOC who have spares or are breaking a probe to send you a spare, then fit the new one when it turns up.

Not sure if thats a good suggestion or not but it might get out of the ploppy for now.
