Like a rocket!

Hello all,

As many of you will know, I have not been very active on this site, or the OC site for a while now. To be fair I have had lots of trouble with the car since a "mechanic" replaced the Cam cover gaskets in April. I have had bad idle, stalling, missfires at low revs, and I spent a packet before he did the job replacing the cat with a de-cal, back box and SS system, iridium plugs, mega leads, cold air feed etc, lightend flywheel, new clutch and hydraulics, new gearbox and so much more, but have always been disapointed with the performance. Ok it did 140mph, but there was no zoom zoom if you know what I mean. So I kind of gave up.
Then after meeting a guy called Bellors on the OC, he recomended a guy he used to see to his six, so I thought last chance or I will crush it!
I got all new gaskets for the IM & TB & Cams covers etc, and oil / filter, and told him to have a go.

I got the car back tonight, and OMG, its like a proper sports car! Goes like sh12 off a shovel
He told me that the gaskets had no sealant on, the TB had no gasket, the plugs were not gapped and two vac pipes were off under the rear of the manifold!

I cannot believe how fast the car is, and all the dosh spent on tuning bits has paid off, it goes as good as it looks.

So I will be back, and involved a lot more, with my renewed passion for my 6.

Love it!

Oh yea, I did strip lots off Beardo's car, and will post up what for grabs.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Time for you and I to have a race then .....

When our cars are properly serviced, tuned etc, they really fly don't they.

My trip to Goodwood and back each night was simply awesome and BaBaKa went like a bat out of hell.

Mind you going to a race meeting always gets my adrenalin running....

Great news then Mike and enjoy your 6

Nite

I experience that very same feeling every time I drive mine! I think it's the torque across the whole rev range that makes it feel so fast. I love it
