ok, bit of advice required if you will. I recently got my clunk fixed, great-like a new car again. and managed to improve my door cards (still popping out DOH! but not as bad).
So, before the next thing goes wrong, I want to treat my car to some niceties. On the cards are:
new set of rear speakers-seen some jvc 4 ways for £30 on FleaBay!!
New car stereo - mines gone funny-i want an Alpine IDX if possible.
LEd Rear lights. this is my main query. LED rear lights, are they any good? I want to try and achieve a more modern look with the bulbs, you know? but I dont really know if they are any good or not? I used to have LED sidelights in green (?) and they were great, and i also had LED sidelights, also great, just not very bright so I changed them for some decent standard bulbs.
I was also curious about led indoor lights, also for the boot, are they changeable ??
Personally I would keep the rear lights as they are because IMHO they look great and make the car individual.
You don't want to join the rest of the modern and bland cars out there.
Have you got an LED 'J' spec rear spolierlight cos that would look good and still is original equipment.
Paula
i'm just talking about the bulbs though, not the whole unit, and this is why I ask, not sure if the LED bulbs will be any good through the original unit?

Be careful with the LED rear bulbs, the mounting for the bulb places them side on (ish) with a LED you need the buldb to be facing top side on ( they have a narrower cone of brightness) when I tried them in my car they were much duller and I ended up putting standard filament types back in.
I've got 2 spare door card plastic studs (original Mazda yellow ones) if you want them - send me your address and I'll stick them in the post for free.
these are the sorts of points I need, thanks guys. I have only seen the bulbs with leds all round so far, they seem ok, MIGHT try them, its not a lot of money!
David - thanks fo rthe offer of the card studs, to be honest, i am not so sure they will work! the "new" ones i fitted last week are loose again, so I think i need to check the holes they go into, perhaps they are JUST worn...
